Subtle Maneuvers is one of the first newsletters I subscribed to on Substack, and it is absolutely one of my favorites. Mason Currey goes deep into the creative processes of writers and other creatives, a topic that I find endlessly fascinating and super inspiring. These essays are engaging, well-researched, and beautifully written. I can't recommend SM enough.
Hal is a wonderful person, talented musician, and someone who battles ME/CFS, a condition that leaves him exhausted much of the time. The wonderful notes he sends are stories of his life, his music, and his ongoing efforts to find joy and meaning in his everyday life.
Tree & Booms is the home of musician/producer/writer Matt Wyatt and his distinctive blend of behind-the-scenes looks at music production and sound design, compelling written pieces, including poetry, and more. There is great intention behind this publication, and I highly recommend it.
