It is a joy to love, honor, and acknowledge all of the Father’s that dwell here and support the Homefirst Community.

In a culture that often measures men by titles, salaries, accomplishments, and influence, Scripture offers a different standard.

The Word of God does not first celebrate a man's platform. It celebrates his faithfulness.

Before God entrusted Adam with dominion, He entrusted him with stewardship. Before David wore a crown, he shepherded sheep. Before Joseph governed a nation, he served faithfully in obscurity. Before Jesus began His public ministry, He spent years growing in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man.

The Kingdom of God has always valued faithfulness before fame.

This Father's Day, we honor the men who have embraced that sacred calling.

We honor the fathers who rise early to pray before the house awakens.

We honor the fathers who work diligently, not merely to provide income, but to provide stability, security, and peace.

We honor the fathers who lead their families with humility, knowing that true leadership is not domination but service.

We honor the fathers who repent when they fall short, who seek wisdom when they lack understanding, and who continually surrender their lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

For these men are building something far greater than careers.

They are building legacies.

The world often celebrates what can be seen. God celebrates what is hidden.

The quiet prayer over a sleeping child.

The difficult conversation that shapes character.

The steady example of integrity.

The decision to remain faithful when compromise would be easier.

The sacrifice no one applauds.

The obedience no one notices.

The consistency that transforms generations.

Scripture declares:

"The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him." (Proverbs 20:7)

A father's greatest inheritance is not what he leaves to his children.

It is what he leaves in them.

A kingdom father understands that his home is not merely a residence.

It is a sanctuary.

It is the first place where disciples are formed.

It is the first place where honor is taught.

It is the first place where worship is modeled.

It is the first place where the image of God is reflected.

Within the HomeFirst vision, we recognize that every thriving home becomes a testimony of God's design. Fathers play a unique role in cultivating that culture.

Not because they are perfect.

Not because they possess all wisdom.

But because they are willing to walk with God and lead others in the same direction.

As Joshua boldly declared:

"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." (Joshua 24:15)

This is the calling of every kingdom father.

To establish a culture where Christ is honored.

Where truth is spoken.

Where grace is practiced.

Where wisdom is pursued.

Where prayer is normal.

Where love is tangible.

Where future generations encounter God through the example they witness every day.

Today we also honor the spiritual fathers.

The mentors.

The coaches.

The pastors.

The grandfathers.

The uncles.

The men who chose to stand in the gap when a child needed guidance.

The men who offered wisdom, correction, encouragement, and prayer.

The men who understood that fatherhood is not merely biological—it is spiritual stewardship.

To every father carrying the weight of responsibility, know this:

God sees you.

He sees every sacrifice.

Every prayer.

Every burden.

Every act of obedience.

Every seed planted in faith.

Nothing done for His glory is ever wasted.

Your labor matters.

Your leadership matters.

Your influence matters.

Your faithfulness matters.

And most importantly, your presence matters.

May the Lord strengthen your hands for the work before you.

May He give you wisdom beyond your years.

May He establish the work of your hands.

May your children rise and call you blessed.

May your household become a beacon of righteousness in a dark world.

May your legacy extend beyond your lifetime and into generations yet unborn.

And may your greatest achievement never be what you built for yourself, but what you built for the Kingdom of God.

May your home be filled with peace.

May your words be filled with wisdom.

May your hands be strengthened for every assignment.

May your heart remain tender before the Lord.

May your children see Christ in your example.

May your family flourish under God's favor.

May your legacy be measured not by possessions accumulated, but by lives transformed.

And may the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob bless you, keep you, establish you, and use you to cultivate a kingdom culture for generations to come.

There are moments when the Lord asks questions that stop us in our tracks.

Not because He doesn’t know the answer, but because He desires to reveal something deeper within us.

Recently, during one of my morning walks, I found myself simply enjoying His presence. There was no agenda. No prayer list. No pressure to accomplish anything. Just the quiet intimacy that comes from walking with the Lord and reflecting on His goodness.

As I walked, my thoughts turned toward the many responsibilities and assignments in my life. Like many women, I wear several hats: wife, mother, steward of a home, author, teacher, and business owner. Yet in the middle of that reflection, I sensed a gentle question arise:

“What is the motive?”

Not, “What are you accomplishing?”

Not, “How much have you produced?”

Not even, “How many people are you helping?”

Simply:

Why are you doing it?

That question led me back to a familiar passage:

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Matthew 6:33

Welcome to June.

As I sat down to write this month’s publication, I found myself reflecting on the times and seasons of God. Not merely the seasons we enjoy, but the ones we often wish would pass more quickly. The seasons marked by pressure, uncertainty, waiting, and questions.

Perhaps you are in one of those seasons right now. A season where you are praying but have not yet seen the answer. A season where God has spoken, but the fulfillment seems delayed. A season where the pressure is increasing and your confidence feels challenged.

If so, I want to encourage you with a truth we often overlook:

Sometimes pressure is evidence that God is forming something within us that comfort could never produce.

Throughout Scripture, we see a pattern repeated over and over again. God’s people experience blessing, followed by pressure, which leads to testing, which invites trust, which reveals God’s character, which ultimately produces maturity.

The cycle is so consistent that once you begin to recognize it, you see it everywhere.

Egypt: When Blessing Becomes Pressure

The story of Israel in Egypt is one of the clearest examples.

When Joseph was elevated to leadership in Egypt, what followed was extraordinary favor. Through God’s wisdom, Joseph preserved both Egypt and his family during a severe famine (Genesis 41-47).

Egypt became a place of provision.

A place of protection.

A place of blessing.

Yet generations later, Scripture tells us:

“Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.” (Exodus 1:8)

What had once been a refuge became a place of oppression.

The Israelites were subjected to forced labor, harsh treatment, and relentless pressure (Exodus 1:11-14).

At first glance, this seems tragic.

But viewed through the lens of God’s purposes, something deeper was happening.

The pressure was exposing the fact that God’s people had become settled in a place that was never intended to be their permanent home.

The season had changed. And God was preparing them for something greater.

The Purpose of Pressure

One of the greatest misconceptions among believers is assuming that pressure means God has abandoned us.

Scripture reveals the opposite.

Pressure often becomes the environment where God develops trust. The Israelites cried out to God, and He heard them (Exodus 2:23-25). Notice what happened next. God did not immediately transport them into the Promised Land.

He delivered them from Egypt. Then He led them into the wilderness. Why?

Because deliverance changes your location, but formation changes your character. God was not simply interested in getting Israel out of Egypt. He was interested in creating a people who knew how to trust Him.

The Wilderness: God’s School of Trust

The wilderness is often misunderstood. We view it as a place of punishment. God viewed it as a place of formation. Consider what happened there.

When they were hungry, God sent manna.

When they were thirsty, God provided water.

When they needed direction, God led them by a pillar of cloud by day and fire by night.

Every challenge became an invitation to trust. Every need became an opportunity to witness God’s provision. Every obstacle became a revelation of His character.

Moses later explained the purpose of the wilderness:

“And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart...” (Deuteronomy 8:2)

Notice the focus.

The wilderness was not primarily about geography.

It was about the heart.

God was teaching His people that trust cannot be developed in abundance alone.

Trust is strengthened when circumstances require dependence.

The Question We All Eventually Face

There comes a moment in every season of pressure when we face the same question. Can God really be trusted here?

Not in yesterday’s victory.

Not in someone else’s testimony.

Not in the familiar places.

But here.

In this situation.

In this uncertainty.

Israel faced this question repeatedly. Even after witnessing miraculous deliverance from Egypt, they questioned whether God could provide for them in the wilderness. Their circumstances caused them to doubt His capability.

God’s response to Moses is one of the most profound questions in Scripture:

“Is the Lord’s hand waxed short?” (Numbers 11:23)

In other words:

Has My power diminished?

Has My ability changed?

Have My promises become less certain?

The answer, of course, is no. The God who parted the Red Sea was the same God who could provide food in the desert. The God who delivered them from Pharaoh was the same God who could sustain them in uncertainty.

And the same remains true for us.

The circumstances may change.

The economy may change.

Relationships may change.

Our emotions may change.

But God does not.

Developing a Posture of Trust

So how do we trust God when life feels difficult? Scripture provides a pattern.

Remember

Throughout the Old Testament, God repeatedly instructed His people to remember.

Remember His works.

Remember His faithfulness.

Remember His promises.

Memory strengthens trust.

When we forget what God has done, fear fills the space.

Release Control

Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs us:

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”

Trust requires surrender. We cannot simultaneously control everything and trust God completely.

Remain Obedient

Trust is not merely believing God exists. Trust is continuing to obey Him when outcomes remain uncertain. Obedience becomes the practical expression of faith.

Rest in His Character

Circumstances change. God’s character does not.

His goodness is not determined by our comfort.

His faithfulness is not measured by our convenience.

His love is not diminished by our waiting.

Trust begins when we anchor ourselves in who God is rather than what we currently see.

The Ultimate Example of Trust Under Pressure

Perhaps no one demonstrates this posture better than the three Hebrew boys in Daniel chapter three.

Like Israel before them, they found themselves living under a foreign kingdom.

Like Israel before them, they were under pressure.

Like Israel before them, they faced a decision.

Would they trust God when obedience carried a cost? King Nebuchadnezzar demanded worship. The consequence for refusing was a fiery furnace. Yet their response remains one of the most powerful declarations of faith in Scripture:

“Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace... But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods.” (Daniel 3:17-18)

What extraordinary faith.

Notice they did not deny God’s power. They fully believed He could rescue them. But neither did they make their trust contingent upon the outcome they desired. Their trust rested in God’s character.

Not His performance.

Not their circumstances.

Not their expectations.

Their posture was settled before the miracle arrived.

God can.

God will do what is right. And even if His answer looks different than what I hoped, I will still trust Him.

That is mature faith. That is steadfast faith. That is the kind of trust pressure is designed to produce.

The furnace revealed God’s power.

But the pressure revealed their faith.

A Final Encouragement

Perhaps that is the invitation before us this month.

Not to escape every difficult season.

Not to avoid every uncomfortable circumstance.

But to become people whose trust is rooted so deeply in God that pressure no longer determines our posture.

The cycle has not changed.

Blessing.

Pressure.

Testing.

Trust.

Revelation.

Maturity.

God has used it throughout history, and He continues to use it today. So if you find yourself in a season of pressure, do not assume God has forgotten you.

He may be teaching you what can only be learned in the wilderness.

He may be revealing Himself in ways that comfort could never accomplish.

And He may be developing a faith that can confidently declare:

“Even if He doesn’t, I will still trust Him.”

Because His arm is not too short.

His promises remain true.

And His faithfulness endures through every season.

There are moments in life when you stop pondering how good God is and begin asking a different question entirely: What blocks us from fully seeing His goodness at all?

That question has been sitting heavily with me these past few weeks.

Not because I doubt Him, but because I am increasingly aware of how easily we, as believers, become desensitized to the magnitude of who God is. We celebrate salvation, and rightfully so. Salvation is no small thing. Through Christ, we are rescued from the penalty of sin, reconciled back to the Father, and given eternal life. That alone is enough to provoke endless gratitude.

But I cannot ignore the deeper tension I feel when reading scripture.

I read about the seas parting.
The earth opening.
Fire descending.
Floodwaters reshaping the world.
The sun standing still.
Darkness covering the earth for hours.

And I find myself asking: How have we reduced the God of scripture into something so intellectually distant that His works now feel metaphorical instead of marvelous?

How did awe become optional?

Recently, as a family, we have been reading through the Book of Joshua alongside our homeschool studies, particularly Story of Science: Einstein Adds a New Dimension. The combination has created some of the most profound conversations in our home—not just about theology, but about creation, time, wonder, and the relationship between God and the universe He spoke into existence.

One passage, in particular, arrested me:

“O sun, stand still at Gibeon,
And O moon in the Valley of Aijalon.”

So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped,
Until the nation avenged themselves of their enemies.

— Joshua 10:12–13

I found myself staring at this passage repeatedly.

Not casually reading it, but wrestling with it.

As a family, we discussed concepts like leap years, time measurement, celestial order, and divine interruption. Before researching outside sources, we challenged ourselves to simply sit with the text and think deeply. What would it mean for the Creator of time to interrupt time itself? What happens when the One who established natural law decides to suspend it?

And perhaps the greater question: why are we so uncomfortable with wonder?

Modern culture has conditioned many believers to reduce God to morality alone, as though His primary role is behavior management. But scripture presents Him as infinitely more than that. He is the Creator. Sustainer. Architect. Designer. The One who governs galaxies while simultaneously numbering the hairs on our heads.

The heavens are not separate from His revelation; they are evidence of it.

Book of Psalms 19:1 says:

“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.”

Creation is constantly speaking.

The thunder.
The oceans.
The intricacy of herbs and plants.
The complexity of the human body.
The stratospheres above us.
The ecosystem beneath our feet.

None of it exists randomly.

And the more I study these things, not from a place of idolizing creation, but from a place of reverence toward the Creator, the more transformed my heart becomes.

This is where I believe sanctification often deepens.

Not merely through discipline alone, but through awe.

There is something transformative about rediscovering wonder.

Somewhere along the way, many adults lose their imagination and call it maturity. But imagination itself is evidence of divine imprint. It reflects the creative nature of God within humanity. When we lose our capacity for wonder, we often lose our sensitivity to glory.

One of the thoughts I encountered while studying perspectives around science and creation deeply impacted me. Though not quoted directly, the essence was this: many people study God only through the lens of human behavior while overlooking the vastness of His creative nature.

That stayed with me.

Because when I first encountered the Lord personally, not religiously, but intimately, I was completely transformed. Something within me shifted permanently. Yes, I had to learn how to live from that transformed place, but the transformation itself was undeniable.

And as I continue studying the world He created, that transformation deepens.

The field of botany amazes me.
The healing properties hidden within herbs astonish me.
The precision of ecosystems humbles me.
The order of the heavens leaves me speechless.

It all points back to Him.

To know God only through church systems or human conduct is to encounter only a fraction of His majesty. But to see Him in the vastness of creation, in the intelligence of the earth, in the architecture of nature, in the rhythm of seasons, in the mathematics of the universe, is to stand in awe all over again.

And awe changes people.

Not emotionally for a moment, but internally.

Because the more I recognize His hand holding all things together, the safer I feel in His hands personally.

Book of Colossians 1:17 says:

“He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”

All things.

Not just spiritual things.
Not just church things.
Everything.

The universe itself is sustained by His command.

This is why salvation cannot be the end of the conversation.

Salvation rescues us.
Sanctification refines us.
But transformation awakens us.

It awakens us to the reality that God is not distant, uninvolved, or small. He is present in every detail of existence. His fingerprints cover creation.

And perhaps that is why I feel such grief when believers live beneath the weight of fear, anxiety, hopelessness, or spiritual numbness. Not because life is easy, it is not, but because we often forget who is holding us together.

The God who commands the sun.
The God who established the oceans.
The God who designed the nervous system.
The God who clothed the earth in beauty.

That same God calls us His children.

How could that not transform us?

Lately, I have found myself returning often to the imagery found throughout scripture of being covered by God.

Protected. Hidden. Held.

Book of Psalms 91 speaks of dwelling under the shadow of His wings, a picture so intimate, so nurturing, and yet so powerful at the same time.

And honestly, that is where I find myself lately: deeply aware that I am being carried by a God far greater than my understanding.

Not just saved by Him.
But sustained by Him.
Transformed by Him.

So perhaps this is my invitation to you today:

Look again.

Not casually.
Not routinely.
But intentionally.

Look at creation.
Look at scripture.
Look at the complexity of your own existence.

Engage with the God of the universe beyond surface-level religion. Allow yourself to wonder again. Ask questions again. Study deeply again. Let awe return.

Because the more I encounter Him, not only in scripture, but through the brilliance of what He has made, the more secure I become in His love, His power, and His presence.

And truly, there are not enough words to capture how amazing He is.

I recently completed a God’s Miracle Challenge through the Godly Woman App, and I can say with clarity, these moments of internal reflection are not accidental; they are the result of intentional, deep work. This journey has been confronting, refining, and revealing in ways I did not anticipate.

The closest way I can describe it is heart surgery, not from personal experience, but in the sense of receiving a new heart altogether. A transformation that is not surface-level, but internal: reshaping how I think, respond, and ultimately, how I believe.

I am deeply grateful for what God is doing through this space. There is a tangible sense that He is moving, within us and around us, calling us into deeper alignment, greater surrender, and a more anchored faith.

Some seasons feel contradictory by design.

This is one of them.

A season marked by undeniable fruitfulness: doors opening, clarity increasing, prayers being answered, and yet, simultaneously, a heightened awareness of resistance. Not always external. Often internal. Spiritual. Subtle, but weighty.

It is the kind of pressure that exposes what you truly believe.

Not what you have taught.
Not what you have written.
Not even what you have declared publicly.

But what your soul reaches for when you are stretched beyond your own capacity.

What do you do when the very thing you prayed for arrives… and with it comes opposition you did not anticipate?

There is a quiet assumption many of us carry:
If God opened the door, it should be easy to walk through it.

But Scripture and lived experience suggest otherwise.

There are doors that God opens that must still be possessed through dependence.

And in this season, dependence is no longer theoretical. It is required.

The Disruption of a Familiar Belief

In a quiet, ordinary moment, doing something as routine as preparing for the day, a thought surfaced:

“You can’t pour from an empty cup.”

A statement that has been repeated, taught, and embraced as wisdom. A framework for boundaries. A call to rest.

And yet, almost immediately, there was a disruption:

“But you can,” a still small voice whispered.

Not as a contradiction, but as a correction.

Because the premise was incomplete.

The revelation unfolded. If the source is you, then yes—empty means depleted.
But if the source is The Lord, then empty becomes a positioning.

Positioning for infilling.
Positioning for overflow.
Positioning for divine supply that is not contingent on personal reserves.
