It started last Tuesday with a press conference on Capitol Hill that included several members of the House of Representatives calling on President Trump to waive non-disclosure agreements and grant immunity to whistleblowers, and specifically pushing the government to release any information around “non-human biologics” discovered at crash retrievals.

The most compelling witness was David Grusch, who four years ago became the first intelligence insider to come right out and say that those “biologics” had not only been recovered but were still secreted away. This time, Grusch (now on the staff of Congressman Eric Burlison) expanded upon that theme, referencing the existence of “corporeal bipedal type life’ and “sentient plasmoidal life" - not just a single E-T species arriving in a metal spacecraft.

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. Rep. Jared Moskowitz also linked the issue to Pentagon accounting failures and the likelihood that whatever they were hiding had never been appropriated or reported to Congress’ relevant oversight committees.

Anticipating a third release of documents by the Trump administration, Grusch also brought up an already-declassified file from Australia’s Department of Defense dating back to May 1971. A paper written by O.H. Turner, at the time head of that country’s Nuclear Branch, analyzed how the CIA had set out in 1953 to introduce a “debunking” campaign to reduce public interest. “The public should be educated to recognize balloons, meteors etc.,” the agency had suggested in a secret report. Such “training and debunking” programs by a professional staff of a dozen would be required for “a minimum of one and one half to two years.” In fact, it became a blueprint for a disinformation program that continues to this day.

Last Thursday came the latest batch of material - 53 documents and 10 images from the CIA, FBI, NASA, Defense Department and other unspecified agencies, plus six videos displaying orb-like objects in the sky, and three NASA audio recordings. All are now viewable at the war.gov website. These really do cover the waterfront, from the mid-1940s up to today.

The most recent report, dated June 5, 2026, is perhaps the most notable. It’s signed by Dr. Jon Kosloski, director of the Pentagon’s All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), previously known for pooh-poohing all its eyewitness data as naturally-occurring phenomenon. Not anymore. This memo stated flatly: “Approximately 40 percent of the reported phenomena lack a plausible explanation after first stage analysis and thus remain unresolved.”

It went on to summarize an incident over a two-day period in October 2023, when a half-dozen federal law enforcement special agents reported observing “orbs launching other orbs” near a sensitive national security site in the western United States at approximately dusk.” The report went on to say; “The phenomena’s most distinctive reported feature was the repeating nature of their pattern of behavior, in which a luminous orange ‘mother orb’ appeared to produce smaller red ‘orbs,’ one after another, multiple times over a period of several days.”

The FBI also interviewed American citizens back in February about firsthand accounts of possible UAPs in their backyards. The partially-redacted documents didn’t say when or where these encounters happened, only that it was somewhere in the northeastern U.S. Newly-released videos from the same area showed bright red orbs hovering around 2,500 feet.

The FBI also interviewed people concerning a “potato-shaped” object, slightly translucent and shimmering, with a “fish scale” texture consisting of irregularly shaped panels that “shifted in slow waves starting at different points of origin but at the same time.” The object vanished after a couple of minutes, or “cloaked” itself because it cast no shadow. Other of the documents recounted sightings from different countries, including a “high alert” implemented in Zimbabwe.

The Sentinel online publication described what separated this latest release from the earlier ones. “The first two drops were built on military sensor footage, gun-camera infrared and targeting-pod video. This one leads with sworn civilian testimony and federal law-enforcement material. Four of the six videos are handheld eyewitness recordings. Two more are FBI digital recreations of an event reported by federal agents. The government is no longer just showing you what its sensors saw. It is showing you what its own people swore to.”

For my money, the most significant material in this tranche is historical, including a 253-page Air Force report from1947 that covers not only the legendary Roswell crash but a number of other witness reports from different parts of the country. And it clearly shoots down the banal theories that the Pentagon tried to sell the public. Here is a sampling of what opens the book: “Witness was sure it was not an optical illusion or that the objects were not weather balloons since they traveled against prevailing wind and since the speed at which they traveled and the horizontal direction taken indicated that they were not weather balloons…..This object performed too tight a circle to be any type of known aircraft.” Soon it was on the ground.

In Part Two of this examination, I’ll share more of the newly-released documentation from the post-war years of the UFO phenomenon. And, of course, we’re seeing the much-anticipated theatrical release of Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day, which I’ll be reviewing early this week. FYI, my book UFOs & UAPs: An Investigative Journalist Dissects an 80-year Coverup, will be coming out in early October and is now available for pre-order at Amazon and Barnes & Noble. The panel I’ll focus on in this summary report was called “Disclosure: The Edge of Tomorrow,” opened to audience questions that provoked revelatory responses on a number of fronts.

Daniel Sheehan, a prominent attorney and founder of the New Paradigm Institute, minced no words about what’s going on. The national security state, as he called it, has long “lied to Congress and the American people using very aggressive psy-ops.” What’s called the Advanced All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) branch of the Pentagon formed in 2022 to lead the way in analysis of UAPs is in fact “a total coverup operation.” Sheehan recalled being “one of the early people interviewed by [Sean] Kirkpatrick,” who was then in charge of the agency. ‘I gave him all kinds of information regarding crash retrievals. Then they came out with the flat lie to Congress that they had no information on that.”

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. She said: “We had years worth of data that I offered to hand over, and was told ‘we have our own data base.’” Her colleague Lenval Logan added: “AARO just ignored the fact that the task force existed.” AARO maintains to this day that there is zero evidence we are being visited by extraterrestrial spacecraft.

Jeffrey Nuccitelli, an Air Force whistleblower who testified at one of several congressional hearings to counter the AARO message revealed that “leading up to going public was very difficult, because they [the higher-ups] were trying to get us to back down from testifying. This took many different forms, but the scariest was when someone broke into our house to give my family that message. We’re tired of being afraid of the government.”

The question of crash retrievals by the military-industrial complex, which dates back all the way to the Roswell story in 1947, was addressed by physicist and insider Dr. Eric Davis. “As of the 1980s and Nineties, our analysts were able to understand the material they were looking at,” Davis said. “But they do not and could not even to this day understand how to replicate the technology itself.”

Davis said he concurred with Jacques Vallee that “all the UAP cases back to at least the year 2000 are traveling interdimensionally That’s the only explanation for how they can physically move through our environment. They get to earth from another planet through traversible ‘worm holes.’” This takes a year or less, whereas if they were moving through space it would take a minimum of 26 years to reach the nearest potentially habitable planet.

Sheehan agreed to this extent: “The interstellar nature of the extraterrestrial beings is organic [when] living in another star system, but they have figured out a method to move through another dimension to get here. They’re capable of bilocating” through psychic capabilities that are now being explored (and often exploited) by our own military-industrial complex.

Their message to earthlings has remained consistent for many years. “There are all kinds of data the experiencers have from communicating with them,” Sheehan added. “They’re very interested in our flora and fauna, rhey [sometimes] gather genetic material from animals and human beings - and they are adamant that we’ve got to get rid of our thermonuclear weapons, stop polluting our planet with our industry and ruining our climate.”

The consensus of the panel was that there needs to be a march on Washington of at least 50,000 people, calling on the executive and legislative branches to demand the truth. A large audience greeted this call with long applause. The question is whether such a mobilization could actually be organized. With Steven Spielberg’s movie “Disclosure” about to be released, hopefully the interest that’s burgeoned in 2026 will continue to accelerate.

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. It’s hard to imagine that all this is coincidental, especially as the government starts to release long-withheld files on UFOs/UAPs.

The most recent curious revelation about the general came within the past week, with the surfacing of a call made to investigative authorities by an unnamed woman who said she’d worked alongside McCasland in the Kirtland Partnership (a nonprofit connected to the New Mexico air base). The night before he went missing, the woman reported having had dinner with the general and felt he “wasn’t his usual self,” but “spacey and rather quiet.”

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. But there was no record of his credentials having been used. Had something happened at the dinner that precipitated her quest? We don’t yet know, but the general’s associate emphasized to the authorities that “the man’s name is in the UFO documents” and he’d held a very high-level security clearance linked to his days overseeing Air Force Research Laboratory programs.

The thing is, the two weren’t dining alone at Cervantes Restaurant near the Kirtland base. She stated that several others at the dinner table were members of the U.S. Space Force. Since its formation in 2019, this has been one of the six armed forces under the rubric of the Pentagon. It has bases in California, Florida, and Colorado - but not in proximity of Albuquerque. Recently President Trump announced it was moving to the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. Part of the Space Force’s documented mission is to track “abnormal observable and patterns of life” with “unknown origins.” General McCasland had recently been approached to testify before the House Oversight Committee bringing in military witnesses to discuss the UAP subject. So far, he’d managed to stonewall them. Was the Space Force greeting him to find out what he might say/

McCasland’s final posting in 2011 had been as commander of the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, from which he retired in 2013. There, McCasland had overseen a $2.2 billion science and technology portfolio. The base was not only where debris from the notorious Roswell crash of 1947 was sent for analysis, but the home of Project Blue Book in the 1950s and ‘60s, where 12,618 alleged UFO sightings were investigated and 701 of which remained “unidentified.”

The Sentinel Network online publication has identified no less than five individuals with connections to Wright-Patterson who recently died under strange circumstances. One of these was Matthew Sullivan, a 39-year-old Air Force officer who’d earned a Bronze star for valor in Afghanistan. He served at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center at Wright-Patterson.

Rep. Eric Burlison, a member of the House UAP Caucus, said of Sullivan’s demise in May 2024 that “he was scheduled to come in for an interview. Within two weeks he had suspiciously commit[ted] suicide.” The Office of the Intelligence community’s Inspector General had deemed Sullivan’s proposed congressional testimony “credible and urgent.”

By this time, Luis Elizondo had quietly returned to government service with the U.S. Space Force. He is the counterintelligence officer who’d been a leader of the Pentagon’s UAP Task Force and gained notoriety as a disclosure advocate featured in the New York Times, testifying before Congress, and writing the best-selling book Imminent. And he had some things to say about another scientific researcher who was found dead on June 11, 2022, in Huntsville, Alabama, from a gunshot wound to the head that was ruled a suicide.

Her name was Amy Eskridge, whose work centered around advanced propulsion, zero-point energy and anti-gravity technologies. She and her father had co-founded the Institute for Exotic Science in Huntsville in 2018. She was looking for approval from NASA to move forward their '“novel foundational work regarding antigravity.”

That same year, as Elizondo described recently on the Jillian Michaels podcast, he’d had dinner with Amy, her father, and several others. “And she had indicated….that they had succeeded in creating an anti-gravity device and could actually demonstrate it and show it. And she was very concerned for her safety and well-being. And what she said about being harassed is something she conveyed to me as well….What I can tell you is that she was absolutely convinced, and so was her father, that people were trying to silence them.”

It’s impossible to do more than speculate about this, but at the Contact in the Desert gathering over the weekend in Palm Springs, I listened to physicist Eric Davis allude to our government’s crash retrieval program that’s long been working on how to manipulate gravity and much more from spacecraft in our possession. Had people like Amy Eskridge gotten too close to the big secrets that would potentially give us a world where fossil fuels are no longer necessary? Was General McCasland, known a decade ago as a man apparently in favor of some disclosure, about to open up about things the powers-that-be want to keep hidden?

I’ll have more next time on revelations from the Contact event.

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. The latest release contains 58 video files that were previously classified, seven NASA astronaut mission audio recordings, and six documents. It’s all available at the war.gov/UFO website.

So, is it worth clicking on that link to see something exciting? Well, if you still like watching anomalous objects flying around near our military craft and bases, the answer is yes. There’s one “striking document” that rightly caught the attention of the CBS and ABC networks, which to their credit did cover the releases as breaking news. (Of course, they were looking for a ratings boost because according to the government’s website, a billion people worldwide are checking out what’s on there.)

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. He and the crew then had “a series of close UAP encounters lasting over an hour. In the distance, we saw countless orange orbs swarming in all directions against the backdrop of the mountains. The display lasted several minutes before fading. [T]he pilots and I (using the naked eye) observed two large orbs flare up side by side, close to the helicopter - stationary and just above the rotor disk to our right. They were oval-shaped, orange with a white or yellow center, and emitted light in all directions.”

The officer wrote that he and the crew “were virtually speechless after these observations.” Fighter jets scrambled to identify the objects but couldn’t. The officer said “the same orbs we had encountered were now ‘chasing’ the fighters.”

Maybe by design, many of the other videos depict encounters that happened in the U.S. Central Command’s area of responsibility between 2018 and 2023, featuring the Persian Gulf. For example, a four-UAP formation that was observed over Iran in August of 2022.

Another featured video shows a U.S. F-16C fighter jet shooting down an unidentified balloon-shaped object over Lake Huron in 2023. This coincided with a Chinese spy balloon having been taken down after it was spotted journeying across our airspace.

Among the other videos, one labeled DOW-UAP-PR067 shows a spherical UAP going through the clouds. Another one from 2021 and labeled DOW-UAP-PRO51, displays instant acceleration after abruptly moving sideways. The majority of sightings, it seems, relate to our nuclear weapons complexes like Los Alamos, Pantex, and particularly Sandia in New Mexico between 1948 and 1950 when it was a top-secret location. One document has 116 pages concerning 209 reported sightings above the Sandia base of green orbs, disc and fireballs. This is further documentation of what’s been consistently observed since the end of World War Two and the beginning of the atomic age.

Here’s what the famous astronomer Avi Loeb of Harvard concluded: After “scrolling through the data from the two releases so far, there is no doubt that UAP are a serious concern for national security and that one of the reasons for them to be classified is to avoid exposing the vulnerability of the U.S. Defense system and intelligence infrastructure.”

To me, the ongoing emphasis on national security is the worrisome part of these releases to date. It parallels what we saw in the highly touted documentary “Age of Disclosure,” where numerous military men whose testimony was cleared by the Pentagon warned about what these incursions might mean. Steven Greer, for one, has been sounding the alarm for several decades about the possibility of a “false flag” alien invasion designed to terrify the populace. In the dawning age of AI, that starts to seem more plausible than ever.

There’s definitely something going on behind the scenes that’s being withheld from us. The same day as the file release, Tulsi Gabbard resigned as the Director of National Intelligence. She cited the fact that her husband is suffering from cancer, which I have no reason to doubt. But her departure follows right after her close associate Amaryllis Fox Kennedy stepped down from two of her intelligence assignments, saying she needs to spend more time with her children. And both of these women are leaving just after a CIA whistleblower came forward before Congress about the Agency’s seizure of files being reviewed by Gabbard’s office for disclosure.

The whistleblower, James Erdman III, testified about a cover-up by Anthony Fauci and other health officials around the real origin of COVID-19 in a Chinese lab (see my substack of a few days ago). Erdman mentioned during his testimony that the CIA had come into Gabbard’s office to reclaim 40 boxes of its files related to the assassination of President Kennedy.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Secretary of Health and Human Services and the late president’s nephew, blasted the CIA’s action in an interview with the New York Post, saying “This is yet another inexplicable move by the CIA that it’s hard to put a face on it that’s not sinister - because it’s illegal.”

Senator Rand Paul also made a statement on X: “The CIA appears to be ILLEGALLY SPYING on @DNI Gabbard’s team, INTERFERING w/investigations on the COVID coverup, the JFK, MLK & RFK assassinations, UAPs, etc. We’ve got to get to the bottom of what they’re hiding.”

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. And they didn’t stop. It felt in some ways like a time capsule had dropped into the Sixties (when, full disclosure, I came of age). Nothing Schmidt said could appease these students. Certainly not his asking them to “choose a diversity of perspectives, including the perspective of the immigrant who has so often been the person who came to this country and made it better. America is at its best when we are the country that ambitious people want to come to. Here’s what he had to say.

BY TEDDY MACKER: The environmental impacts of A.I. data centers alone (impacts so extreme they defy easy comprehension) should be enough to inspire a historic resistance (a resistance which perhaps is brewing). As you may have heard, one incipient data center “campus” in Utah will require twice as much energy as the entire state. OpenAI, if it has its druthers, will require by 2033 as much energy as all of India. (Please read those two sentences again.) The ensuing earth-savaging (and war-dependent) pursuit of fossil fuel and the accompanying pollution and climate derangement (not to mention the draining of aquifers; the “development” [read soul-offending uglification] of beautiful lands; the harming of nearby communities and land value; and the genuinely insanity-inducing noise pollution) could make our current disequilibrium and rapacity seem almost gentle. And for what? Possible widespread “job elimination”? (Fortune magazine, May of 2025: “Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei says AI could wipe out roughly 50% of all entry-level white-collar jobs.”) Dystopian warfare? (Robot dogs and “autonomous” drones and the bombing of girls’ schools.) The “outsourcing” of human creativity? (Who needs human-made music and poetry and novels and movies?) A.I. friends and lovers for our precious children? (Such relationships are already happening.) The progressive disembodiment of the human being? (Who needs the “drudgery” of physical work?) The proliferation of “deep fakes”? The end of human life on earth? (For whatever it’s worth, we’re being warned by many—some of whom are A.I.’s creators—that this new technology might actually spell our ruin. Paul Kingsnorth, for example, has repeatedly mentioned that Sir Geoffrey Hinton, the British so-called “godfather of A.I.,” thinks there’s a lively chance A.I. will lead to “total human extinction.”)

As icing on the cake, we’re being told that this technology is inevitable, is in fact already here, so there’s no use fighting against it, no use arguing with reality. Last Wednesday, May 13, a still active CIA senior operations officer, James Erdman III, honored a subpoena and provided testimony under oath for ninety minutes at a congressional hearing organized by the Senate Committee on Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs.,

Serving in the CIA since 2013, Erdman has been a recipient of the CIA’s Medal of Merit. He’d recently stepped down from working jointly with the Intelligence Director’s Initiatives Group (DIG), in charge of investigating the origins of COVID-19 as well as Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena. We have yet to hear what he may have learned about UAPs, but Erdman certainly addressed how the pandemic originated inside a U.S.-funded laboratory in Wuhan, China and how, in his words, “Dr. [Anthony] Fauci’s role in the cover-up was intentional.”

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. We’ll get to that later in this article. First, here are the highlights of Erdman’s testimony, which you can watch at this link

Central to his testimony was that public health policy “would have been very different had the American public been made aware that a virus from a lab in China was going to serve as the foundation for an Emergency Use Authorization mRNA product being mandated by the former administration.”

A “small circle” of scientists, overseen by Dr. Fauci, immediately went into cover-up mode as the virus began to spread, promoting the idea that COVID-19 was of zoonotic, or natural, origin and emanated from a marketplace. Many of these scientists were involved in what’s known as gain-of-function research, experimenting on how viruses could be transmitted. NIAID, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases that Fauci ran, contracted with the Wuhan Institute of Virology to work on such experiments.

The CIA, as well as the FBI and several other federal agencies, have now affirmed that the coronavirus somehow leaked out of that Chinese lab into the general Chinese population and ultimately killed millions around the globe. According to Erdman, the CIA was considering announcing that conclusion as early as August 12, 2021, but five days later adopted a neutral stance on the virus’ origins after intervention from Fauci. Less than a week after that, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration under the Biden administration granted full regulatory approval to Pfizer’s mRNA vaccine.

Erdman maintained that while he hadn’t found “smoking gun” documentation about Fauci and other officials openly discussing a cover-up, a “pervasive undercurrent” indicated this to have occurred. In Fauci’s stated view on many occasions, a lab leak was a conspiracy theory. During the DIG investigation, Erdman said, when they tried to speak with Fauci, they received only a “curated list of subject matter experts.”

Erdman also raised the fact that Dr. Fauci and other researchers connected to a Biological Sciences Expert Group were in attendance in October 2019 at Event 201, a simulation of a global coronavirus outbreak that convened a couple of months before it became a reality.

The CIA, too, was busy covering its tracks. Erdman said, “CIA managers retaliated against analysts supporting the lab-leak hypothesis.” Personnel with the DIG investigative office had their “computer and phone usage” monitored. At least one CIA contractor was fired “one day after meeting with the DIG.”

After the hearing, CIA spokesperson Liz Lyons issued this statement: “The Committee acted in bad faith by subpoenaing an Agency officer for testimony today without notifying CIA, despite having already obtained closed-door testimony from the individual previously. The witness testifying today is not appearing as a whistleblower in pursuit of the truth, but instead in response to the subpoena issued by Chairman (Rand) Paul.”

I’d like to know why not a single democrat attended this hearing. Is the death of millions a partisan issue? Is anyone in public office interested in the sudden recent retirement of Dr. Ralph Baric from the University of North Carolina, the virologist who worked closely with the Wuhan Lab in testing coronaviruses?

And why isn’t there a moratorium back in place on gain-of-function research, a precedent set by the Obama administration from 2014 to 2017? President Trump did issue an executive order in 2025 that paused further development of such research for 120 days, but the administration has yet to announce a new policy.

Now let me turn briefly to what James Erdman interjected about twenty minutes into his testimony. The CIA, he said, took back and has not returned forty boxes of files on the JFK assassination and the MK-ULTRA program that National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard had been reviewing for declassification. Later reporting from News Nation’s Katie Pavlich maintained that this had taken place in the middle of the night during the 2025 government shutdown, at the National Reconnaissance Office where the files were being held.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R., Fl.), chair of the House Oversight Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, went on social media to demand the boxes be brought back within 24 hours or the CIA would face a subpoena motion. So far, nothing further has transpired that I’m aware of.

What is particularly intriguing is the mention of MKULTRA, because the CIA has long been said to have destroyed most all of those files back in 1973. The relative handful that survived were described in the book, The Search for the ‘Manchurian Candidate’ by John Marks. Recently Luna’s task force had announced plans to hold a hearing re-looking at the CIA’s Cold War “mind control” program on May 13th, but that appears to have been postponed. More on this in a future substack.

Meantime, I’m hoping that more readers of this column will consider becoming paid subscribers, so I can continue to bring to light matters that are being largely ignored by the mass media.

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. This possibility was raised again at Greer’s press conference that took place the same day as the government’s recent file release, bringing in more whistleblowers to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Disclosure Project’s groundbreaking 2001 gathering.

As she had then, Carol Rosin appeared (this time by video) to recall the last words of Wernher von Braun, considered the father of modern rocketry and the scientist in charge of America’s initial space program. Rosin had become the first female corporate manager of an aerospace company, Fairchild Industries, and was also von Braun’s spokesperson before his death in 1977.

Dying of cancer, von Braun was intent on preventing the weaponization of outer space. He told Rosin that there would be a series of lead-ups against communists and terrorists and even asteroids, but that the “last card” would be the “alien card” - a false flag staged invasion by a manmade facsimile of an extraterrestrial craft. “We are going to have to build space-based weapons against aliens and all of it is a lie,” von Braun said.

The document released by the Black Vault on May 1 seems to fit this scenario. Dated November 20, 2023, still under the Biden administration, it states: The Pentagon’s All-Domain Resolution Office (AARO), will convene and chair a Space Tiger team to guide the Department’s development of the space integration framework for spaceborne and transmedium UAP.”

Those terms indicate that the framework is intended to address objects or phenomena operating not only in space, but across different physical environments. AARO, it should be noted, officially has stated that “no empirical evidence of off-world technology or secret, unreported U.S. programs” has been found. Why then was the office tasked to “identify opportunities for space-based UAP detection in support of other domains, and to identify reporting and deconfliction mechanisms for space-based UAP.” In military terms, “deconfliction refers to protocols designed to prevent conflict, accidents, or escalation between forces.”

The U.S Space Command, the U.S. Northern Command and the North American Aerospace Defense Command were specifically named as participants, along with elements of the Air Force and intelligence agencies like the National Security Agency and the National Reconnaissance Office. The goal was “to ensure timely and consistent reporting of UAP.”

Then there was this key line: Space Force would develop “integrated mitigation and response planning, and will set the framework for….mitigating possible threats” [italics added.] In military terms, mitigation is a “proactive, systematic measure taken to avoid, minimize, or compensate for the adverse effect of operations. This includes reducing environmental damage, protecting civilians, and limiting structural harm during training, exercises or combat.”

Daniel Sheehan, a prominent lawyer whose New Paradigm Institute is fighting for government disclosure, had this to say: “To put it plainly, the document outlines what the US Government needs to do in preparation for military action against an extraterrestrial adversary.”

The Black Vault has also released documents indicating that NASA is preparing for possibly announcing discovery of extraterrestrial life. And the nonprofit has launched a searchable data base for the ongoing releases of government files.

The looming question is - what’s the status of the Space Tiger Team now? The Black Vault has filed additional FOIA requests seeking to learn more about that. To be continued….

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. The president urged interested citizens to “enjoy” and make up their own minds.

The initial responses of many observers, however, didn’t seem too enjoyable. Sean Kirkpatrick, former director of the Pentagon’s UAP investigative unit, disdained the release as a “shiny object.” Another House member, Thomas Massie, felt the rollout “the ultimate weapon of mass distraction.”

Actually, the Pentagon didn’t even call it a release. They code-named it PURSUE, which stands for Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters. There’s a portal online for these records, at war.gov/ufo, which brought to mind the portal through which some E-T craft are said to maneuver. So far, that portal stayed closed for the 46 videos that Rep. Anna Paulina Luna has been demanding get released to Congress. Even so, disclosure advocates like Danny Sheehan of the New Paradigm Institute came out with praise for the Trump administration’s decision to start the process.

So, is there anything particularly noteworthy about what we’re seeing so far? My vote is yes, because finally it’s clear that NASA’s continuing efforts to deny they’ve found any evidence of UAPs is a flat-out lie. It’s already known that Gordon Cooper of the original Mercury program not only believed in E-T visitation but admitted having a camera crew film a UFO landing at Edwards Air Force base in 1957. The most outspoken astronaut was the late Edgar Mitchell of Apollo 14, who walked on the moon in 1971 and said: “We all know that UFOs are real. All we need to ask is where do they come from, and what do they want?”

But until now, nothing’s been made public from our other space travelers. And it turns out numerous NASA astronauts ran into mysterious phenomena on their missions. From a crew debriefing of our first moon-walkers on July 31, 1969: Buzz Aldrin reported witnessing a “fairly bright light source” that may have been a “possible laser” while in lunar orbit. From the Apollo 12 flight crew: in two separate incidents of “unidentified phenomenon” in November 1969, Alan L. Bean said he’d observed particles of light “sailing off in space” that appeared to be “escaping the Moon.” His fellow astronaut Charles “Pete” Conrad said he’d seen floating debris right outside the lunar module.

In 1972, Apollo 17 astronauts all described different events on three separate days. Ronald Evans saw “very bright particles or fragments” drifting and “tumbling” near their craft, confirmed by Harrison “Jack” Schmitt who added: “There’s a whole bunce [sic] of big ones on my window down there - just bright. It looks like the Fourth of July out of Ron’s window.” Mission commander Eugene Cernan had experienced an “imposing” light that flashed between his eyes. Those astronauts also took a picture of what seemed to be three dots in a triangular formation in the sky above the moon.

Close-to-earth videos were also striking. One from U.S. Central Command in 2013 showed a glowing “eight-pointed star with arms of alternating length” protruding from the object.

<picture><img src="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!xkek!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F21b4ef51-f468-46f8-9400-f83dc79e812f_400x225.jpeg" width="400" height="225" data-attrs="{"src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/21b4ef51-f468-46f8-9400-f83dc79e812f_400x225.jpeg","srcNoWatermark":null,"fullscreen":null,"imageSize":null,"height":225,"width":400,"resizeWidth":null,"bytes":null,"alt":"The video appears to show a glowing object with eight protruding points or arms drifting through the frame. Avi Loeb, founder of Harvard’s Galileo Project, said optimistically: “The best is yet to come, because higher quality data will take more vetting by layers of government bureaucracy before it is released.”

And Luis Elizondo, the disclosure advocate once in charge of the Pentagon’s UAP Task Force, is “cautiously optimistic” and predicts it’s coming. He spoke on one newscast of how he and whistleblower David Grusch had come across some “incredible information” about what’s been observed on space shuttle missions and more recently the international space station.

The same day as the Pentagon release, Steven Greer’s Disclosure Project convened a press conference marking the 25th anniversary of his bringing an impressive group of military whistleblowers to Washington. What a dozen more have now come forward with is more revelatory than what we’ve seen to date from the government. I’ll be zeroing in on this in my next column.

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. On March 27, J.D. Vance was a guest on the Benny Johnson podcast When the subject of disclosure of long-withheld secret government documents came up (as promised by President Trump), Vance admitted he himself had been “obsessed” with UFOs and planned to personally visit Area 51 and other locations.

Toward the end of the interview, almost like an aside, Vance added; “I don’t think they’re aliens, I think they’re demons” and added “anyway, that’s a long discussion…I go to Christian understanding, [that] one of the devil’s great tricks is to tell people he never existed.”

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. There are forces working on the physical world that we do not understand.”

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, an evangelical Christian, hasn’t specifically mentioned E-Ts, but has quoted biblical verses extolling the takedown of demonic forces in his monthly Christian worship ceremony in the Pentagon. From the Book of Psalms, Hegseth recited: “I pursued my enemies and overtook them. I did not turn back til they were consumed. I thrust them through so that they were not able to rise. They fell under my feet.”

John Milor, recently retired as Chief of Cyber Operations for the U.S. Western Air Defense Sector, published a book titled Christian Ufology in 2023, warning s about demonic deception on the front end of the coming apocalypse, when the False Prophet descends like Christ aboard a UFO.

In his 2024 book Imminent, Luis Elizondo, former head of a Pentagon program to investigate Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, confirmed that many key military officials regard them as demonic in origin. That’s much more palatable to their belief systems, even though they realize that reality may be different. Back in 2010, author Nick Redfern had examined a cabal known as the Collins Elite that allowed demons to enter our world amid the waves of UFO reports that began in 1947. The book, Final Events and the Secret Government Group on Demonic UFOs and the Afterlife, postulates that these ETs pose as benevolent in order to lure the cooperation of human beings for their nefarious agenda.

In 2025, the Catholic theologian Daniel O’Connor published The First and Last Deception: Aliens, UFOs, AI, and the Return of Eden’s Demise, which re-examines the Book of Revelations where Satan and his demonic host engage God in a cosmic struggle capped by Jesus’ descending again to earth to commence a post-apocalyptic New Jerusalem. Today most people including mainstream Christians regard this as emergent from an overheated religious imagination, and indeed Revelations wasn’t accepted as a genuine book of the New Testament until the 4th century AD.

Despite Ezekiel’s wheel, since the Bible makes no specific reference to ETs, O’Connor’s argument is that they don’t exist. Genesis only offers one type of Being with free will, and that’s the human kind. But a majority of Americans - well over sixty percent in one poll - envision ET visitors as “good guys,” not the evil invaders dating back to H.G. Wells’ War of the Worlds.

There’s a 25-year anniversary coming up this weekend, the gathering of military whistleblowers assembled by Dr. Steven Greer’s Disclosure Project at Washington’s National Press Club in 2001. Greer will be hosting another such event at the same location on Friday afternoon May 8, with both ticketed seating and live-streaming. Besides the new witnesses coming forward, Greer will be providing new evidence around the significance of the mysterious sphere that landed in the Colombian town of Buga early in 2025.

A week after Vice President Vance’s “demonic” affirmation on the March podcast, Greer appeared on the same program to refute him. He and I then discussed the situation on a phone call, where he made some key points. First, this is nothing new. “For decades, there’s been a segment of religious extremists that have presented the false idea that UFOs are supernatural, therefore demonic and evil,” Greer told me. “Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson, as well as the Opus Dei group at the Vatican, were saying this in the Seventies and Eighties. When I met with the crown prince of Lichtenstein for several hours, he explained that their whole objective is to present the demonic alien threat in order to have World War Three and force the return of Christ by getting into an alien war.”

Greer has been warning for years about a possible “false flag” operation, in which our military-industrial complex could stage an E-T invasion to terrify (and mollify) the populace, using craft that they’d shot down or otherwise recovered. The rhetoric we’re currently hearing could be a pretext for such an event, wherein “absolute power corrupts absolutely,” as the phrase goes.

Greer raised some interesting comparisons. Wouldn’t a car racing down the freeway, or wireless radio transmissions and now cell phones be considered supernatural by our recent ancestors? Mightn’t a hologram of today’s science be simply a supernatural ghost? (Lest we forget the Salem witch trials in our founding years, when female “sorcerers” were burned at the stake.)

What Greer calls the “psy-op” agenda is a deep strain in today’s UFOlogy, where the “ayatollahs of the space age” push their extremist, supposedly Christian eschatology. “People are being brainwashed by fanaticism,” Greer continued. “This is their way of deceiving people who happen to be religious. The president will be releasing [the files] soon, and we cannot have this kind of nonsense and buffoonery going out to a huge segment of the population that are scientifically uninformed. An avalanche of disinformation and false narratives is also going to come out, and we have to be corrective and vigilant at every step. Otherwise we’re headed towards a very bad outcome.”

Greer concluded with a brief recounting from the 1990s, when he sat down with Monsignor Balducci - once himself a demonologist - at the Vatican. “He flat out said to me: neither angels nor demons need flying saucers. Simple as that.”

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. In 2024, a House committee report cited a “preponderance of circumstantial evidence” - including the Wuhan Institute of Virology’s research on bat coronaviruses - that COVID had probably emerged from a lab. Early in 2025, an assessment by both the CIA and FBI concurred that a lab was the “most likely” origin, with the caveat that evidence was inconclusive. In April 2025, the White House officially declared the lab leak to be fact.

We also know, of course, that this subject has long been a political hot potato, depending on who was putting it forward. But this past week, two events lend weight to at least a cover-up of the virus’ origins. First came the announced indictment of a former top adviser to Dr. Anthony Fauci. charged with conspiring to conceal important COVID-19-era communications from the public. Dr. David Morens was accused by federal prosecutors of deleting records and using private email accounts to conduct government business. His “co-conspirator 1,” while unnamed, is pretty clearly Peter Daszak, described as heading a nonprofit (the Ecohealth Alliance) that received an NIH grant from Fauci titled, “Understanding the Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergence” and subcontracted research to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. These connections were scrutinized in Robert F. Kennedy Jr’s The Wuhan Coverup in 2023, the followup to his runaway bestseller The Real Anthony Fauci. Now, while the university has not confirmed it, Baric has not only lost his NIH grants but reportedly been placed on leave by the university.

Baric’s laboratory specialized in coronaviruses. He’s considered a pioneer of what’s called gain-of-function research, which increases the virulence or transmissibility of viruses and is used to develop vaccines for targeting a particular virus. SARS-related coronavirus genomes harvested at China’s Wuhan Institute were sent to Baric’s UNC lab.

Dr. Robert Redfield, former director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said on a podcast in November 2024 that Baric was the “scientific mastermind” behind COVID-19 and that it was intentionally engineered as part of a biodefense program. After the pandemic broke out, Baric played a central role with Fauci and other public health officials to promote the theory that COVID-19 had evolved in nature.

I began investigating this situation back in 2020, and learned that Gain-of-function (GOF) experiments came under fire more than a decade ago after a series of biosecurity breaches at various labs. After several hundred scientists petitioned for GOF research to be stopped, President Obama declared a moratorium on federal funding for such research on three viruses including SARS in 2014. Baric complained that this would “significantly inhibit our capacity to respond quickly and effectively to future outbreaks of SARS-like or MERS-like coronaviruses.” In his lengthy rejoinder, Baric did not let on that he’d received funding from Fauci’s branch of NIH three weeks before the moratorium’s enactment, for a gain-of-function study involving bats. Dr. Fauci decided to allow this research to continue during the government’s ongoing review process, having concluded “that the work was not so risky as to fall under the moratorium,” according to Baric.

To evade the presidential moratorium, Dr. Fauci outsourced the dangerous GOF research offshore to China’s Level-4 laboratory in Wuhan in 2015 ––away from nosy White House oversight––and licensed the lab to continue receiving U.S. government funding. The research money would be run through a series of cover operations that make it look like a U.S. arrangement which then subcontracts with the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

The Baric team out of North Carolina published in November 2015 “A SARS-like cluster of circulating bat coronaviruses shows potential for human emergence.” The acknowledgments contained this caveat: “Experiments with the full-length and chimeric SHC014 recombinant viruses were initiated and performed before the GOF research funding pause and have since been reviewed and approved for continued study by the NIH.”

On May 1, 2020, three months into the national lockdown, Dr. Thomas Inglesby (director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, discussing Dr. Fauci’s gain-of-function research, made the pointed observation that “laboratory systems are not infallible, and even in the greatest laboratories of the world, there are mistakes.”

Between March and May of 2004 in China, laboratory workers—on two separate occasions—accidentally released SARS-CoV viruses from the National Institute of Virology in Beijing, infecting people outside the facility. The workers became ill, and were easily identified and isolated, limiting the known number of deaths.

According to a report from the China Daily, official investigation found the leaks to be an accident due to negligence. The cases were linked to experiments using live and inactive SARS coronavirus in the China CDC’s virology and diarrhea institutes. The World Health Organization criticized the lab’s safeguards. Given the recognition by the Chinese government and WHO, there is no doubt that the limited 2004 outbreak of a SAR-CoV virus originated in a Chinese laboratory as a result of contamination.

In the U.S., between August 2012 and July 2017, with the GOF moratorium soon to be lifted, Ralph Baric’s lab would receive $14.5 million, and another $7.3 million between July 2013 and July 2018 for “characterization of novel genes encoded by RNA and DNA viruses.” An additional $3.6 million would be allotted between April 2015 and the end of March 2020 toward Baric’s research on “Mechanisms of MERS-CoV Entry, Cross-Species Transmission and Pathogenesis.”

An overseas colleague of Baric’s benefited from Dr. Fauci’s GOF largesse as well. In January 2014, the director of the National Biosafety Laboratory at China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology, Dr. Zhengli-li Shi, received a $665,000 grant from NIAID for a study titled “The Ecology of Bat Coronaviruses and the Risk of Future Coronavirus Emergence”, as well as another $559,500 from USAID to look into “Emerging Pandemic Threats.”[vii] USAID had launched the PREDICT program in 2009, as an early warning system about new emerging diseases in twenty-one different countries.

In the Baric lab, they’d .engineered something novel, putting a protein spike on an innocuous bat coronavirus that then morphed into a SARS-CoV pathogen able to attach to and attack cells that line the human lung. In the experiments, especially older mice succumbed, while the younger animals seemed to make it through just fine – a result that would later be observed with human infections of COVID-19.

A November 9, 2015 press release from Baric’s lab - later removed from the UNC website - headlined: “New SARS-like virus can jump directly from bats to humans, no treatment available.”[xii] In an interview, Baric told the publication Motherboard: “The strain grew equally well to SARS in human cells. It resisted all vaccines and immunotherapy, too.” Yet he argued that the research was helpful in preparing vaccines for the next epidemic. Baric added that humanity had been lucky with SARS: “It was a credit to public health actions, like quarantine – that’s what really stopped [the] pandemic.”

Simon Wain Hobson, a virologist at Paris’ Pasteur Institute, warned that the creation of this novel virus that “grows remarkably well” in human cells meant that “if the virus escaped, nobody could predict the trajectory.”

Isn’t it high time we permanently banned gain-of-function research?

[

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. I recalled some of these men appearing in Greer’s powerful 2024 documentary The Lost Century, in which (full disclosure) I served as a commentator on the accelerating impacts of climate change due to our reliance on fossil fuels.

My dive into this history - which may be the tip of the iceberg - starts in the 1970s, when a 25-year-old mechanic named Tom Ogle came up with a vaporized fuel system for his old Ford V-8 that made a documented 200=mile roundtrip on two gallons of gasoline. Here’s what the New York Times reported in a story datelined El Paso, February 4, 1978: “The secret of the ‘Oglemobile,’ as it has since come to be known, was not in its fuel pump or carburetor, but rather running on gasoline fumes fed directly into the engine’s combustion chambers….

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

“Ogle promises that his vapor fuel system will reduce automobile emissions to practically nothing, eliminate most of the vibration and heat that contribute to the wear of engines, run well on a variety of fuels and even clean the spark plugs as it goes along.

“Within a year, he expects that his fledgling company, Ogle Fuel. Systems, backed by a wealthy, anonymous private investor, will have his invention on the market for as little as $100 a unit. Within a few years, he predicts, it will be one of the biggest corporations in the country.”

Well, it never happened. After reportedly running into financial difficulties, Ogle was shot by an unknown assailant outside an El Paso bar on April 8, 1981 and placed under police guard at a local hospital. That August he would be dead at 26 from what was ruled an “accidental overdose” of alcohol and the painkiller Darvon. His technology disappeared. So did the documentation, test footage and prototypes. Years later, in 2008, Gashole, a documentary about America’s dependence on fossil fuels, highlighted Tom Ogle’s invention.

The next genius to disappear was Stanley Meyer, who in the early 1980s came up with a water-based fuel cell that used voltage stimulation to split water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen (the process of electrolysis) and use the resulting gas in conventional engines. His small contraption required minimal energy input, and was thus an extremely efficient and sustainable means for producing fuel.

But Meyer’s concept did violate standard thermodynamic principles, though he demonstrated a dune buggy in 1995 that he maintained could travel 111 miles on a mere 1.06 gallons of water. The following year, an Ohio court found Meyer guilty of fraud when several expert witnesses maintained the device wasn’t doing anything revolutionary. He was ordered to repay investors. He told a close friend that “they want to bury this technology.”

On March 20, 1998, following a meeting with prospective investors from Belgium, according to his brother, Stanley was sipping some cranberry juice when he suddenly ran out in distress. “They poisoned me,” he said as he collapsed. The coroner’s report ruled he’d died of a “cerebral aneurysm.” Meyer’s Water Fuel Cell patents, now in the public domain, continue to gain interest in discussions about hydrogen fuel production.

Floyd “Sparky” Sweet was an MIT graduate singled out by the Dean of the School of Science in 1970 for “understanding intangibles to predict the unforeseen.” In the late 1980s, living in southern California, Sweet claimed to produce a kilowatt of power from a small, self-powered device called a Vacuum Triode Amplifier, using specially “conditioned” ferrite magnets. He said his invention converted ambient magnetic energy into zero-point energy, and witnesses reported that the VTA could indeed power lights and motors without traditional fuel sources. Again, this wasn’t recognized by mainstream science because it violated established thermodynamic laws.

Sweet died in the spring of 1995 under highly suspicious circumstances, just as an announcement was supposed to be coming from the Clinton White House endorsing his invention. After two strangers showed up at his door, according to his wife “Sparky was having a cup of coffee when he fell out of the chair onto the floor.” With Sweet’s death, all his equipment and notes disappeared from his residence.

We’ll end by examining what happened to Eugene Mallove, another MIT graduate, with a degree in in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. After working for several high-tech companies, Mallove went to Harvard for a doctorate in Environmental Health Sciences and then began a writing career in 1982. His firsr book was The Quickening Universe: Cosmic Evolution and Human Destiny (1987) and in 1989 he co-authored the Starflight Handbook: A Pioneer’s Guide to Interstellar Travel.

But that same year, Mallove resigned in protest from MIT where he worked at the university’s News Office. He was furious over MIT’s manipulation of test data on cold fusion, which had been initially touted as the future of clean energy before being labeled “pathological science” by the mainstream scientific community.

Mallove remained a thorn in their side, publishing Fire and Ice which helped rescue cold fusion from oblivion. He wrote: “The upshot of this energy-from-water field is that within ordinary water there is a heretofore unimaginably large energy reservoir…..This energy would be non-polluting, would have no hazardous radiation, and would, in effect, have a zero fuel cost.” Mallove started a publication, Infinite Energy, to put forward such ideas.

Today, there’s been a renewal of interest in cold fusion, with even the Navy and DARPA conducting lab research looking for breakthroughs. But Mallove didn’t live to see it. On May 13, 2004, his viciously pummeled body was found lying in the street near his home in Norwich, Connecticut. The first two men arrested and charged were released in 2008 when a judge ruled there wasn’t sufficient physical evidence against them. In 2012, another man who claimed a housing dispute as his motive was brought to trial, which came to an abrupt halt after the alleged killer pled guilty to a lesser charge of first-degree manslaughter.

Before his death, Mallove had written in an “open letter to the world”: “The basic scientific direction of the path forward has already been mapped out. A world of abundant, clean, and safe energy from sources that have no centralized geopolitical control.”

As Steven Greer concluded his latest email: “A full and truthful disclosure of UFO/UAP information would release these technologies. THAT is why it has been suppressed.”

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. Recently, the list of mysterious disappearances and deaths has grown to include Joshua LeBlanc, a nuclear propulsion engineer for NASA killed in a fiery car crash on July 22, 2025. LeBlanc worked at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. His family had reported him missing on the morning of his death, worried that he had left behind his phone and wallet and speculating he may have been kidnapped.

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. Footage and text messages of Eskridge have now surfaced where she claimed to have been targeted by a “directed energy weapon.” One text shared by a colleague read: “If you see any report that I killed myself, I most definitely did not. If you see any report that I overdosed myself, I most definitely did not. If you see any report that I killed anyone else, I most definitely did not.”

In yet another case, that of ex-Air Force intelligence officer Matthew James Sullivan, Rep. Eric Burlison (R., Mo.) told Fox News this month that he’d “suspiciously committed suicide” on May 12, 2024, only two weeks before a scheduled appearance before Congress on the subject of UAP/UFOs. According to his obituary, Sullivan had served inside the National Security Agency as well as the National Air and Space Intelligence Center. Burlison stated publicly that an Inspector General’s report cited his testimony as “credible and urgent,” and the Congressman had “significant concerns about potential foul play.”

David Grusch, another former Air Force intelligence officer who testified in 2023 about downed E-T craft in possession of our military and its contractors, had according to the Congressman been helping Sullivan prepare to come forward. This week a Virginia state medical examiner now maintained that Sullivan died from a lethal combination of alcohol and several pharmaceutical drugs.

The U.S. isn’t the only place where this phenomenon is taking place. Newsweek headlined an article: “Chinese Scientists Have Been Dying Mysterious Deaths, Too.” There have been at least nine similar cases in China. Most were involved in top-secret military research. Aong them was Yan Hong, 56, described as the country’s top aero-engine expert, who died in late March from an unexplained illness. Yan Hong worked at Wright State University between 2005 and 2010 (closely affiliated with the Wright Patterson AFB where General McCasland ran the show) before she returned to China to join the U.S.-sanctioned Northwestern Polytechnical University. There her hypersonic research had “pushed aerodynamic and thermal boundaries under extreme speeds.”

Also dying, apparently following an unexpected medical episode in South Africa in February, was 68-year-old Zhang Daining. According to the South China Morning Post, “Fang studied super-strong materials for spacecraft and advanced engines at Beijing Institute of Technology, a key defense research university.”

On the heels of these revelations came the death of David Wilcock, a New York Times best-selling author who wrote five nonfiction books about extraterrestrial life and frequently appeared on the History Channel’s “Ancient Aliens” series. Wilcock, 53, shot himself on April 20 in front of officers in Boulder, Colorado, who were responding to a 911 call about a man in a “mental health crisis.”

There is high strangeness surrounding Wilcock’s demise as well. Some of his many fans cited his post on social media in 2022: “I plan on LIVING. Not suicidal at all. Just concerned about what happens when you prove God is real.” On a long YouTube livestream that Wilcox recorded only a few hours before his death, he declared: “Every day that I have on Earth is a gift and a blessing. And I’m very grateful for that because, frankly, people are disappearing. Scientists are going missing now.”

Finally, there’s one other man, who allegedly committed suicide on May 10, 2021, with a shotgun blast to his head. His name was Mark McCandlish. He was an aerospace illustrator who first surfaced in 2001 at Dr. Steven Greer’s landmark gathering of whistleblowers at the National Press Club. We’ll examine what McCandlish revealed, then and later, in a subsequent newsletter and my forthcoming book.

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. France reports one in five gas stations facing shortages. Germany is enacting an emergency energy package to cut fuel taxes by 17 cents per liter for two months. And parts of Ireland have shut down after days of protests broke out over the escalating cost of gasoline. Trucks, tractors and taxis blocked access to fuel depots and one major port, while main roads were closed by slow-moving convoys.

This, of course, is due to the blocking of much of the traffic passing through Iran’s Strait of Hormuz, which carries some 20 percent of the world’s oil and gas trade. Something else is running short for the American military, with CNN citing Pentagon figures that our stockpile of key missiles has been “signficantly depleted” after seven weeks of war.

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. Driving cars, heating buildings, even running industrial processes like steelmaking are increasingly powered not by burning oil and gas but by electricity. And a substantial proportion of that growth is coming from renewable sources.

The planet’s two most populous countries - China and India - are leading the global energy transition. In 2025, they both saw fossil fuel-generated electricity fall for the first time this century, amid their building out of solar, wind and battery infrastructure. In Indonesia, electric cars now make up more than 15 percent of new auto sales - up from virtually zero percent in the early 2020s.

This is in stark contrast to the U.S., where rising natural gas prices led to coal demand going up by 10 percent last year. Electricity use also rose because of the harsh winter across much of the eastern part of the country, as well as the roll-out of industrial-scale power customers like data centers needed for AI.

Nonetheless, led by China and India, solar power saw unprecedented growth in 2025, with a 30 percent surge in generation making solar the largest contributor to a new global energy supply. Ninety miles off American shores, the Trump administration’s fuel blockade against Cuba coupled with high tariffs imposed on countries that supplied the island nation with standard energy sources has created dire necessity for solar installations - which went from 3.6 percent in 2024 to 10 percent last year.

At the same time, a federal judge just blocked the administration from enforcing a series of decisions that placed restrictions on wind and solar production on public and private land, A coalition of renewable energy developers had filed suit against the Interior Department in December, arguing that these actions constituted discrimination against them. In five different cases this year, federal judges have struck down efforts to halt construction of wind farms in the Atlantic Ocean.

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. Michael David Hicks had been part of the DART Project, NASA’s test to determine if humans could deflect dangerous asteroids away from the earth. He died in 2023 at 59, a year after leaving the JPL. Frank Malwald, who died at 61 in 2024, had been the lead researcher on a breakthrough that could assist future space missions in detecting signs of life on other planets.

Then a 48-year-old government contractor in Albuquerque, who worked at a facility that makes 80 percent of the non-nuclear materials used in U.S. nuclear weapons, vanished on August 28, 2025. Just as General McCasland would in February 2026, Steven Garcia left home on foot carrying a handgun and leaving behind phone, keys, wallet and car.

The most intriguing new revelation concerns a 34-year-old scientist, Amy Eskridge, who supposedly committed suicide on June 11, 2022 by shooting herself in the head. Before her death she warned on a podcast that her life was in danger. She was working on anti-gravity technology, which many believe already exists from alien spacecraft reverse-engineered by our government.

Her father Richard Eskridge was a retired NASA engineer who specialized in plasma physics and fusion technology. The two of them, according to the Daily Mail, had co-founded an Institute of Exotic Science in 2018 and given a presentation about “gravity modification, including alleged black projects said to be developing triangular antigravity craft known as the ‘TR3B.’” Amy was pushing publicly for disclosure about UAPs.

Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., recently said his efforts to get answers about the scientists was being blocked by certain intelligence agencies. “The numbers seem very high in these certain areas of research,” he added. “I think we’d better be paying attention - and I don’t think we should trust our government.”

In a substack, Whitley Strieber - author of Communion and a number of other books stemming from his famous abduction account - has weighed in with a lengthy analysis of the saga. While I believe it more likely that the scientists’ demise is linked to the gatekeepers inside our military and intelligence agencies - or perhaps those of a foreign adversary - Strieber makes the case that it ultimately involves NHI, Non-Human Intelligence, and explains why. Here is the link to read what Strieber speculates about.

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. (Central Bank Digital Currencies) to “Free Energy”, Geology to Pharmaceutical regulatory processes, anti-aging to astrophysics.

Our resumes read like some of the folks Jeffrey Epstein brought together over the years. We, on the other hand, gathered to brainstorm about how to expose and thwart a planetary coup, not plan and execute one. Some once held high positions in the Federal Government and private industry. Some were academics. We were wordsmiths, physicians and filmmakers. We were whistleblowers.

Some were survivors of satanic ritual abuse.

The organizers convened us to share our answer to this question:

What is the most important information that you believe is being hidden from the public?

Time allowed for about a dozen of us to formally explain and defend our opinion. The presentations were informal but thought-provoking and some, profoundly disturbing. In the end it became clear to me that we were divided into two groups, those who considered the esoteric and those who didn’t.

By “esoteric” I am referring to things which cannot be measured or verified with presently available methods. Spirits. Souls. Demons and Angels. Supernatural and/or paranormal phenomena.

I could understand why some would want to exclude such ideas from any serious conversation. Such things are not necessary to expose the mechanisms which keep humanity distracted, sick, disempowered and ignorant of basic things. There are receipts if one is willing to look and accept what is found. Why venture off into the unprovable when there are so many problems that are readily apparent, measurable and fixable if we would get our heads out of the clouds?

The reality is that there is proof of the esoteric. It all depends on one’s standards of proof. Though I have never had a personal experience that offered undeniable evidence of such things, I do have very close and trusted people in my life who have.

A rational and trusted friend told me about being in a room with a half dozen people and hearing a thunderous scream emanating from nowhere after experimenting with a “Ouija” board for a while. All who were present were freaked out and described the voice as “non-human”.

Recently another highly educated and close friend of mine recounted a story from his college days when an “odd” dorm resident told a group of friends that since he had been abducted by a “aliens” as a child he was bestowed with supernatural powers. When asked to demonstrate to the amused and skeptical group he stood with eyes closed and levitated 18 inches off the ground for several seconds before falling to the floor and became violently ill for the better part of an hour.

The only grounds upon which to not accept such accounts is if it points to something that is considered unacceptable to begin with. I happen to trust these friends more than my ability to know that something I cannot explain cannot exist.

Subscribe

Anesthesia: The Boundary between the Physical and Metaphysical

Accepting the esoteric is easy for me because I deal with it daily. Modern anesthesia is undoubtedly Western medicine’s greatest contribution to humanity. Without it, none of the marvelous surgical interventions could be performed. From kidney transplants to hip replacements, heart bypasses to C-sections, all require anesthesia.

What would life today be like with our smartphones, GPS systems, transcontinental flights and access to humanity’s breadth of knowledge at our finger tips if a bout with appendicitis or a complicated childbirth carried with it a significant chance of death? Or that a fall on a skateboard or slipping on ice may result in a permanent deformity of your ankle?

We’ve come to take for granted that if we need an operation we won’t have to experience it. However awareness and how anesthetic drugs affect it remains mysterious.

Anesthetists have a good understanding of dose/response relationships; we understand how the drugs we use are distributed and eventually metabolized; we know what the untoward effects are and how to treat them. Nevertheless anesthesiology is much like alchemy because it deals with the transformation of consciousness, something we know next to nothing about.

Though the western medical paradigm believes that anesthetics render our physiology incapable of being conscious, I view it differently. Our interventions render our physiology incapable of allowing consciousness to exist within the body.

I believe that consciousness does not terminate under anesthesia and resume sometime later; it is continuous. Anesthetics are amnestic, so we cannot access memories of being anesthetized. Moreover if *properly anesthetized patients underwent hypnotic regression to somehow access their memories, I don’t believe they would recall being unable to move or scream while the fibers of their bodies are being dissected. I think they would recount being free of their physical form, in some other kind of space that I cannot begin to describe.

*Note: There are instances of awareness while it is presumed that the patient is properly anesthetized. These are real, rare and incredibly traumatic.

So, with that said, what follows is a summary of my presentation. It is admittedly speculative and may sound preposterous or even heretical to those of certain persuasions.

An Inexplicable Event in the Operating Room 22 years ago

I had been out of my training only a couple of years when one of the nurses in the OR asked me if I would take care of one of her dear friends who was scheduled to have a relatively minor gynecological operation in a few days. I agreed. And, I was puzzled. My partners had decades more experience than I. Why did she choose me? She explained that she knew I had “an open mind”.

I didn’t understand until the day of the procedure. Her friend was a respected member of an indigenous tribe which had been living in the area for hundreds of years. She was accompanied by three elderly women dressed in their traditional garb. After conducting my examination and answering her questions the patient made a request.

“If at any time during the operation you notice smoke leaving my body I would like you to notify my sisters immediately”

I shrugged my shoulders and readily agreed. I asked her what this signified.

“It’s a sign that my spirit has left my body. My sisters will offer me the proper guidance to return.”

Toward the end of the procedure, the OR suddenly and inexplicably became extremely humid. Calls were made to have the problem addressed immediately. Meanwhile condensation accumulated on my glasses, the monitors and, the surgical instruments. It was a major safety concern. The surgeon hastened to finish.

It wasn’t smoke. It was humidity. Nevertheless, I made another call to the control desk to have someone let the patient’s “sisters” know what was going on.

The operation concluded. The humidity was relenting. The patient emerged from anesthesia uneventfully. I left her in the recovery room and went to speak to her contingent.

“Thank you doctor. Her spirit left her body, but we were able to connect to her and guide her back.”

Later I went back to see the patient. She had no recall of the events. We never figured out what happened. I thought about it from time to time over the next fifteen or so years. It was obviously just a coincidence. After all, thousands of operations take place in the USA every day and nobody reports leaving their bodies and floating around in other dimensions.

Then again, if patients have no recall under anesthesia there’s no reason to expect them to report anything. Two decades and twenty thousand operations later I have been witness to only a handful of situations where the air quality in the OR was somehow deregulated but never to such a degree. What are the chances that such a rare event would occur immediately after such a premonition?

Why hasn’t Western Medicine Discovered the Mechanism of Anesthesia?

We have identified some of the molecular effects of anesthetics on our physiology, but we don’t know which are responsible for their remarkable ability to render people “unconscious”.

We seem to be plunging forward in our search for a mechanism while being unaware of a major blindspot: We have to understand the mechanism of consciousness before we can even hypothesize how anesthesia works.

Unlike the heart’s ability to pump blood, the kidney’s ability to regulate pH and serum osmolality, the ability of nerve cells to transmit electrical signals, the ability of our intestinal tract to absorb water and glucose or even the ability of our mitochondria to use simple sugars and oxygen to provide the energy to drive countless chemical reactions in our bodies, consciousness is not a material thing. By using our deconstructive approach to define things we will ultimately arrive at molecules interacting with other molecules. How could molecules and their interaction with each other be aware?

Yet we have identified structures in our brain which are inert in “unconscious” persons and are active in those who are aware. Hence it is more reasonable to regard these areas of the brain as structures which allow consciousness to imbue the body but not the source of it. This is what I mean by physiology allowing consciousness to exist within our bodies.

A good analogy would be a radio. What would happen if we brought a team of scientists from the 17th century into our world and asked them to figure out how a radio worked?

They would quickly realize that the mysterious voice coming through the speaker will terminate if any one of a number of the radio’s components are disconnected, but there would be no way for them to deduce that the source of the voice resides at the transmitter, far away from them.

The experts of yesteryear would begin by examining the antenna, the speaker, the batteries or even the knobs on the tuner. That’s what happens when you discount the existence of things you are unaware of, like radio waves. Why believe in invisible, “esoteric” energy fields moving through the “ether” when we can suppress and resurrect the voice by manipulating the antenna?

Consciousness is not always local to the Physical Body

While the medical orthodoxy continues to ignore the futility of searching for the source of consciousness in our brains, it is also willingly ignorant of the well documented phenomenon of Near Death and Out of Body Experiences (NDEs and OBEs) that occur during cardiac arrests. Published research by Dr. Bruce Grayson and others demonstrate that NDEs are not so uncommon during times when a patient heart stops.

While it is possible that these experiences are due to brain activity which sometimes continues while the person is being resuscitated, it is worthwhile to note that these experiences are commonly recounted the same way. The person remembers having a sense of separation from their physical form, expansiveness and peace. Why would so many people surviving this kind of unique event be imagining the same sorts of things? Survivors of these events often remember choosing to reanimate their bodies before “coming back”.

More interesting are the much rarer times where the patient remembers being outside of their body with specific recollection of events that were corroborated by people in the room (1, 2, 3). Consciousness is not always local to our physical bodies.

Consciousness does not Terminate after Death

This shouldn’t be a controversial suggestion to the billions of people who believe in a spirit or soul that transcends this bodily experience. If we have a soul it must be conscious and indestructible. That is, after all, what primarily distinguishes it from the corpse that decomposes in a casket or burns on a funeral pyre after death. (Interestingly we continue to incorrectly describe the situation. If “we” have a soul, who are “we”? Why don’t we say “I have a body” instead?)

The question is, what happens to our soul after our bodies die? Heaven behind the Pearly Gates? Interminable suffering in hell? Does it remain in a disembodied limbo for eternity? Though we may cling to a belief by way of faith, we simply cannot know from a scientific perspective which relies on objective and reproducible measurements.

That said, there is an increasing body of subjective accounts which all point to the fact that our soul will return to this realm in a different body. At least that is what has seemed to have happened to thousands of people who can recall specific details of a life previously lived.

These people are all children who began recounting their tales from the moment they learned how to speak. Their parents encouraged them to tell their stories which captured broader attention, eventually that of someone who is familiar with a family who had lost a member with a life story that shares some commonalities with the child’s account. The child and surviving members of the unrelated family are united, and the child’s recall of specific details is enough to convince the family members that this precocious child was in fact once their parent or a spouse who died some time in the past.

Dr. Ian Stevenson (former chair of the Dept. of Psychiatry, University of VA) researched and documented thousands of such accounts. Other researchers have also independently reported on this phenomenon (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).

Accounts of reincarnation exist in multiple cultures (Hindu, Buddhist, esoteric interpretations of Judaism, Indigenous North American) and continents. We are left, as we are so often, with uncertainty. It could be that reincarnation is

An elaborate hoax conducted by researchers

Real but only happens to a tiny fraction of human beings

Universally true. We’ve all lived previous lives but most cannot remember them

Reincarnation is Fundamental

Given the fact that we do not know how a remarkably simple molecule like diethyl ether works, how consciousness can emerge from molecular interactions, how vivid and accurate recollection can take place when our physical bodies are technically dead and the remarkable stories of reincarnation from children from all over the world, I put my money on the last option. And thus, my perspective:

We are, at our essence, indestructible.

We either choose to or are forced into returning to this physical realm repeatedly for reasons that are unclear.

Uncertainty is an essential part of this realm. Without it there would be no mystery, and life would be less interesting.

Accepting that we are and have been reincarnating will lead to truly transformative changes. Our cultural identification, skin color, religion will be relegated to the superficial. Warfare will be seen as a perpetual state founded on the misconception that taking the lives of other people is justified because of the past deeds of that same group of people. The problem is, if we have been reincarnating we cannot know who is responsible for the tragedies and misdeeds of the past. The only sane thing to do would be to stop shooting our guns in the dark hoping to exact justice on the most culpable.

Coming to this realization collectively is the most crucial step a civilization must take before it will either use its technology to take to the stars or blow itself up.

The understanding that every person on the planet is not a just a physical body but a spirit temporarily inhabiting a body is the crucial element in either liberating or enslaving the world. If there were a secret cabal seeking to control humanity from behind “elected” authorities, public institutions and media it would behoove them to ridicule the idea that we each are limitless beings. A population that is unafraid to die is ultimately very difficult to control.

It is difficult for a person to consider that they are indestructible if they have experienced terror. And thus, fear mongering is part of the playbook too.

The Most Secret of Secrets

What might secret societies discuss behind closed doors? What is in the vast library of the Vatican to which the public has little or no access to? What is kept in the catacombs below? What would be the most highly guarded knowledge held by tiny groups of people who seek to control the rest of us? I propose it would be an understanding of how to arrange the circumstances of rebirth in human form.

Why?

First, in order to actualize a secret plot to keep people afraid, weak, reactive, distracted and constantly in conflict with each other intelligent people would have to be secretly recruited into the mission. There are no doubt intelligent people who are psychopaths who consider the lives of other sentient beings worthless and expendable. But those who retain some of their humanity would demand convincing evidence that engaging in maniacally evil and utterly selfish pursuits will not result in karmic retribution.

What kind of evidence would suffice? I don’t know. I am deducing that such evidence must exist in order to induce key operatives into pursuing such treacherous missions over multiple lifetimes.

The proposal would be intriguing to those with the right proclivities.

There’s no need to worry about such things like interminable hell! Commit to this ruthless endeavor and you will not only experience this life as an apex predator, you will live your next life in a higher echelon of the enterprise with more knowledge and power!

Second, the systems required to control a planetary population (central banking, organized religion, military industrial complexes and governments of all flavors, etc.) take more than a few lifetimes to organize, deploy and consolidate their influence. In order to conscript an army of evil-doers that operate on both the physical and metaphysical planes they would have to be shown that reincarnation is not only real but that it can be steered by those who possess a deeper understanding of how it really works.

What if it was possible to arrange the circumstances of your next birth, who your parents will be and thus their standing in the operation? Maintaining secrecy and adhering to ruthless rules of engagement would not only result in amassing fortunes for your offspring, it would potentiate the growth of systems and institutions which accumulate power and control over generations. The fruits of a lifetime of dedicated work wouldn’t just be handed down to your kids, you would come back at some time in the future to take the reins and be given more power and responsibility in the scheme.

Even more important, you wouldn’t be thrown back into the pool of “normies” who get indoctrinated by a standard education which stresses empiricism or organized religion which may offer some feel-good concepts and sensible rules of behavior but ultimately demands that you surrender your true potential to a divine power outside of yourself. Supplicate to be saved. Instead you pick up where you left off by joining the operation early in life.

I proposed that this was not only happening, it offered the most logical explanation of how a tiny few could secretly be running the world.

Imagine the power a small group of people with this kind of knowledge would have over the masses who have been programmed to think and fiercely defend the idea

that we are defined by our skin color, religion and cultural stories

that this is the only life we have been given and we must extend it and maximize our enjoyment at all costs

that the only way to have peace is to have more weaponry

that the only way to have security is to have more surveillance

that because some ideas are seditious and destabilizing censorship is a necessary compromise

that we are frail and need to be protected from the dangers of our natural environment with technology and synthetic molecules

that we take birth already guilty of committing “original sin” which can only be absolved by a higher power which exacts merciless punishments upon the unfaithful

In my view we are species that has been deeply programmed to not only accept a limited version of who we are but to shame and attack anyone who suggests otherwise.

It’s like Playing a Video Game

I believe each of us is a limitless spirit/soul that has access to a much deeper understanding of ourselves, the spark of the divine within us and our role in this sacred creation. But this understanding is largely hidden from us during our incarnation in these physical bodies. We have forgotten who we really are and have been shamed into accepting a much smaller version of ourselves.

In this sense, taking birth is akin to putting another quarter in an arcade game. But unlike the games we have created to distract us, the human experience is very real. It is reified by emotional and physical suffering and pleasure. Otherwise life would be nothing more than a vivd dream or a movie that lasts about eighty years on average.

Another key difference is that we have forgotten that we are playing a game and have completely identified with the avatar which we are temporarily animating on this plane.

Finally, although we may have a thorough understanding of the game between incarnations, we take birth knowing we will have no recollection of what the rules are. That’s part of the game we are all playing and what makes it more interesting than we realize.

If a secret “cabal” has been slowly consolidating power over the systems that run the world, they are playing by rules that are different than the ones they have tricked us into accepting. Though the vast majority of us are able to enjoy the satisfaction of helping another and our conscience and innate empathy prevent us from conducting horrid acts, we are forced to assume a competitive posture with each other because of how the world works at the moment.

We believe we have to accumulate points in the form of wealth, time, security and power. There are only so many points to go around so we have to outmaneuver others to have more for ourselves and our families. Don’t you care about your children? Eat or be eaten. There’s simply not enough for everyone. You only live once so security trumps freedom. Peace through preemptive strikes.

Adopting a different way of playing the game may seem naive, but let us not forget that the wealth and time which we fight so hard to accumulate and defend is ultimately surrendered upon the death of our bodies. If there were any “points” that would count towards the next iteration of the “game” it wouldn’t be the material we amass during our lives, yet that is what our society regards as the most important. Naiveté may not be what we think it is.

If enough people choose to play by a set of rules they will dictate how everyone plays the game. We are undoubtedly playing the game using rules that pit nation-states, cultures and people against each other.

There are obviously innumerable individuals who have refused to accept the rules who live and die in anonymity. They aren’t a threat to the status quo. But those who possess enough talent, courage and popularity to influence others are very dangerous to those who wield the real power.

We know who some of them are and what happened to them. They weren’t saints; they were imperfect people who attempted to point out the insanity in front of their eyes. They were induced to play the game by the established rules and eventually feel compelled to spill the beans. Then they get threatened. If that fails their reputations are sullied by an immensely powerful media machine which drives them to take their own life or are slaughtered in front of us by the operatives of the system they sought to expose. The murder is blamed on innocent patsies and these whistleblowers who were existential threats to the controllers in life are lionized posthumously. Elaborate funerals are arranged, monuments are erected, the public grieves, skeptics of the official story are dismissed as conspiracy theorists and the system grinds on.

JFK

RFK

MLK

John Lennon

Michael Jackson

Prince

Nicola Tesla

Charlie Kirk

<a class="image-link This in fact makes the “game” even more spiritually significant. If we were absolutely certain that being generous would lead to an eternity in heaven or “good karma” we enter a transactional relationship with our fate. That is much different than sacrificing for others without any assurances that it will serve us later.

If we were reincarnating we would be more likely to make policy decisions that would benefit us all in the long run and not just some of us in the short run. We would also be less inclined to take up arms against each other to avenge past acts. Sensibility would lead us to less bellicosity and more towards responsible decisions about our future. Why would we want to endlessly circle the sun tormenting each other?

We don’t have to know we are reincarnating. We don’t even have to believe or hope that we are. We only have to act as if we are to enjoy the benefits of this view.

If we were to accept that somewhere out there in the cosmos there are other civilizations similar to ours which have identical challenges and technologies, with clever and powerful forces that use manipulation to deceive, control and distract the masses, some of them would eventually see the sensibility in this approach to their condition.

What do you think happened to them compared to those who remained attached to existential fear, unresolvable cultural and ideological differences and competitive behavior? I’d wager that they created a more bountiful future for themselves. They would gradually redirect resources away from technologies that destroy, “sacrificing” for the disadvantaged would be regarded as an investment, more and more people would experience prosperity and in turn be more generous with each other.

Adopting this perspective would herald a distinct shift in the civilization’s collective consciousness that would permit truly transformative technologies to take root. This would be necessary for a planetary-bound society to take to the stars. If there are ETs that are flying craft across trillions of miles of interstellar space and in impossible patterns overhead they may be more spiritually advanced than they are technologically. Such technology can only be perfected and wielded by a species that despite all temptations, is incapable of blowing themselves up.

Making that kind of leap requires global cooperation. Global cooperation is only possible if cultural divides can be regarded as superficial differences. This requires reframing of history which will have been riddled with atrocities that were endured and committed by everyone at one time or another.

Reframing history, ultimately requires forgiveness. Forgiveness is the hard reset; it’s what reboots the whole system so that a new understanding of how to play the game can take root.

This brings us to the most important name not listed above.

Whether you believe that Jesus Christ was Gd in the flesh, a nice guy who walked the Earth like the rest of us or a purely mythological figure concocted by an elite class to consolidate power over a vast empire that spread over varying climes and cultures, the message attributed to him, in its essence, is a threat to those who can only maintain control if we remain divided and believe we are justified in taking up arms to expand our own interests or respond to previous and present aggressions.

Conclusion

I yielded the floor to the moderator.

While a few of the attendees were intrigued or nodded in agreement, some had been visibly impatient to move on. Most were politely silent.

I can understand why my presentation was met with a tepid response. While topics like life-after-death, consciousness and forgiveness can be entertaining after-dinner conversation, it becomes a distraction from solving the real-world problems humanity is facing. Digital IDs, implementation of a CBDC, the distortion of climate science in order to fuel a multi-trillion dollar “green” energy industry, mandating modified RNA products on our children and animals, the attack on small, independent farms, the consolidation of power in transnational organizations like the UN and the WEF, etc. etc.

It was time to move on to ideas that could be backed by evidence which could lead to actionable strategies and measurable successes.

And then we heard from two courageous women, both survivors of satanic, ritual abuse from the time they were children. Their own personal accounts confirmed everything that I have since read or heard intimated in the Epstein files and worse.

Rape. Torture of children. Infanticide. Cannibalism. They were the victims. Sometimes they had been forced to participate the rituals too. Powerful and/or easily recognizable people were the perpetrators. This wasn’t just happening on Epstein Island. This was happening all over the world. The women were from two different continents and their stories corroborated each other.

What was the point of such horrific acts on the most innocent of the innocent?

I have been in direct correspondence with one of them. Here was her response:

“It’s not just to bring the individual’s frequency to a negative state, & to adrenalise their blood. The rituals where victims are tortured are most often perpetrated in the portal spaces comprised of the crossing of multiple earth energy/ley lines. These are multi-dimensional spaces where demons can be accessed.

The victim is tortured to bring those demons to inter-dimensional doorways in the portal locations. They are attracted by the screams & energy of misery.

When the victim is murdered, their death opens a doorway to the dimension that the victim’s soul is a match to. Most victims are good souls who would normally go to one of the heavenly realms.

Through spell casting of those perpetrating the ritual, the doorway is inverted to open a doorway to the hellish realms. This is facilitated by the victim begging for death during the torture. It is taken as consent.

Once that doorway to the hellish realms is open, the incarnate humans presiding over the ritual will call a demon into the physical realm ‘to do their bidding’. The humans think the demon will come in to do their bidding, but generally the opposite is true.

This explains why these idiot satanists perform these rituals out in the open where they can be discovered or filmed, when it would make more sense to do so in a secure, hidden environment. They need to do the rituals in a portal space. The most powerful of which are in nature where they are not corrupted.

This also explains why most of these unaliving rituals are performed in these portal spaces on the solstices & equinoxes - this is when the earth energy/ley lines and portals would normally come into ‘harmony’. The ritual causes disharmony, further disrupting the ley energies.

For millennia the natural earth energy lines of our planet have been corrupted by satanists. They have been turned into straight alignments, using piezo-electric materials formed into structures like masonic halls, basilicas, cathedrals, monuments, arenas, parliaments, court buildings, abattoirs, schools, universities & of course churches. These buildings are found dotted along these straight alignments.

Through spell casting during the building of these piezo-electric structures on the natural earth energy lines, the normal clockwise spiraling magnetic frequencies of the earth energy lines are inverted into anti-clockwise frequencies, turning them into the controlled version of an earth energy line - a ley line.

Catholic churches are all oriented into a ley line by a freemason using a sighting rod (ref ‘The Old Straight Track’, by Alfred Watkins, first published 1926.) This is obvious when you look at a church in the street-scape. Most often they are at a weird angle in relation to the rest of the buildings & roads. Because they are lined up with a ley/earth energy line. Proving the Catholic church is aligned with Freemasonry.”

Piezo-electric materials? Magnetic frequencies of Earth energy lines? Adrenalizing blood? Spell-casting? Freemasons? Demons??

Is this science or voodoo? Ultimately it is up to you to decide for yourself. Nevertheless, if we are to accept just some of what has been revealed in the Epstein files as valid, we are forced to ask deeper questions, like why?

I cannot accept that even a tiny group of psychopathic and deranged people would conduct such acts just because they find them titillating. Such depravity comes with risks to themselves, even if they control bodies like the FBI and the Department of Justice.

There must be some perceived gain that is worth the risk. The Epstein files may be evidence of something more sinister than a world-wide human trafficking ring used to blackmail those in power. These two women agreed that such rituals do, in fact, open portals to other dimensions through which non-human entities may be exerting their influence over humanity.

Both, by the way, have had near death experiences while being tortured which align with other documented accounts. They were outside of their physical bodies, surrounded by love and light and released from the torment they were enduring at the time. Yet they chose to come back to expose their tormenters and forever end these rituals and sacrifices.

Are we going to believe them? Or do we need more evidence? What would such evidence look like?

If we are dealing with forces that are trans-dimensional we are not going to fend them off with guns. We would have to first embody our true nature which is also transcendent. It’s a truth that isn’t just preached from pulpits, it’s coming from the mouths of babes, from the time they first were able to speak.

Is it time to start really listening?

Please leave your comments.

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. The four astronauts had traveled 252,756 miles in ten days, further than any recorded human journey into space. Their module was dubbed Orion, after the large constellation but also the figure in mythology who chases the Pleiades and is pursued by Scorpio. And Artemis, in the pantheon of Olympian deities, was the goddess of the hunt.

So was there something these fellows might have been hunting as they took a look at moonscapes never witnessed by their predecessors? You won’t learn about this in the media coverage, but earlier chronicles of lunar expeditions contain some most interesting revelations.

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. We have had it with us ever since yesterday and it just seems to be tagging along with us.” (This quote appears in the 2009 book Dark Mission: The Secret History of NASA, by Richard C. Hoagland and Mike Bara).

A man named Maurice Chatelaine, hired to build the Apollo communication and data processing system, later maintained that a portion of Earth-Moon dialogue was cut off by the NASA monitoring staff. As Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong were taking their moon-walk, Chatelaine later said, Armstrong suddenly grabbed Aldrin’s arm and exclaimed: “What was it? What the hell was it?” When Mission Control asked about it, the astronauts are said to have responded: “God, you wouldn’t believe it! I’m telling you there are other spacecraft out there…lined up on the far side of the crater edge….They’re on the moon watching us.” (This quote appears in the 1975 book, Our Mysterious Spaceship Moon, by Don Wilson).

The same book reported that, when Apollo 15 landed its Falcon module in a crater next to Mt. Hadley (ten times higher than the Empire State Building), one of the astronauts said: “When we were coming about 30 or 40 feet out, there were a lot of objects - white things - flying by.”

Then came Apollo 17 in 1972, the last American spacecraft to touch down on the moon, where the astronauts were instructed to change radio communications frequencies to a more secure channel after they witnessed a UFO inside Orientale crater. Reportedly, NASA’s request to take pictures at close range was honored, but the space agency has never released the photos.

According to the 2021 book Closer Encounters by Jason Reza Jorjani, “The Apollo astronauts were subjected to extensive hypnosis sessions wherein they were made to forget their actual experiences on the Moon. Most of the Apollo astronauts became very disturbed when asked probing questions that require detailed recollection of what they experienced, beyond what they are supposed to remember of their designated tasks.”

So, the secret keepers have been busy. But not all the astronauts went along with the program. Before he died, the early Mercury astronaut Gordon Cooper told an interviewer that he’d video-recorded a UFO landing and sent it directly to Washington. In 2020, former Senate Majority leader Harry Reid confirmed that this happened.

Edgar Mitchell, the Lunar Module pilot of Apollo 14 and the sixth man to walk on the Moon in 1971, said before his death in 2016 that extraterrestrial life is real and we’re being visited, and that the government cover-up had concealed evidence of crashed and retrieved alien craft for decades. Mitchell had gone on to found the Institute of Noetic Sciences. His widow said in 2025: “So many of the pilots and astronauts had seen something.”

So concerning the years of official hiding of the truth, perhaps it’s appropriate to end with this quote that scholars attribute to “wild, untamed, unattached, unfettered” Artemis. The goddess of the hunt is speaking of her hunting companion Orion, before Apollo tricked her into killing him and placing him in the stars. “Orion never appreciated the wild places for what they are….He saw everything in the world around him as a trophy to collect. As something to possess.”

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. He maintained that he’d sent a registered letter to J. Edgar Hoover a few days earlier, providing enough information to warrant the arrest of Lee Harvey Oswald and two Cuban exile associates with CIA connections. The FBI claimed in 1976 that no such letter could be located. Quite likely, Hoover destroyed it - but who knows?

Upon his arrest outside the bank, among other items the authorities took possession of two small brown spiral notebooks. One has never surfaced. The other, released to Nagell’s lawyer in 1975, contained very similar notations to what would later be found in Oswald’s address book - the Fair Play for Cuba Committee and the phone number of the Cuban Embassy in Mexico City. Both of those were targets of clandestine CIA operations.

Nagell told authorities that the lining of his suit jacket held two tourist cards for entry to Mexico. One was his, under a false name. The other was for a “Hidel,” a pseudonym used by Oswald. Whatever happened to these tourist cards should be pursued.

Here is further evidence of Nagell’s relationship with Oswald, whose activities he had been assigned to monitor by his CIA case officer. on November 4, 1963, according to arresting officer Jim Bundren, Nagell told him he “wouldn’t want to be in Dallas right now.” He is on record as requesting to meet with the Secret Service “as soon as possible” while imprisoned on the day of the assassination. Nagell dispatched a letter to Secret Service Chief James Rowley as well. The FBI visited him on several occasions.

Then a new judge abruptly took over jurisdiction for Nagell’s trial. His name was Homer Thornberry. A close friend of LBJ, he had been in the presidential motorcade on November 22, and afterward he suddenly resigned his seat in Congress and went to El Paso. There Thornberry shut down Nagell’s efforts to describe his motive for entering the bank. “Suspect Says Agents Asked Him about Oswald, Activities Link,” the El Paso newspaper headlined on January 27, 1964. But that was as far as it went. Any record of how Thornberry became involved with Nagell’s case should be sought.

I know that Nagell was eventually able to obtain a thick sheaf of his CIA files under the Freedom of Information Act. These, however, were personal records that have never been publicly released. Nagell died under suspicious circumstances in 1995, and it’s high time this material sees the light of day.

Files should also be sought under two aliases that Nagell used in 1962-63: Robert C. Nolan and Joseph Kramer. And under Oswald’s pseudonyms of “Albert” and/or “Alek Hidel (or Hidell).” The same Hidel pseudonym was an operational name also used by Nagell under some circumstances.

While Army Intelligence released some years ago its files on Nagell’s service in Japan, there may also be relevant material in the Defense Intelligence Agency. A highly decorated Korean War veteran, Nagell had been part of a top-secret military unit known as Field Operations Intelligence (FOI) established by General Charles Willoughby and another of whose members was a hitman named Jack Canon. Files on both Willoughby and Canon should be examined for their connections to the assassination.

In closing this request, I avow that I knew Nagell personally as an investigative journalist and spent a number of hours asking questions of him in the mid-1970s. I have authored sixteen books, three of which focus on the assassination, and served as the research expert on the “Who Killed JFK?” podcast produced by Rob Reiner and Soledad O’Brien. I am hopeful that as Congress members following through on releasing all the classified files that various agencies have kept secret for years, you will see fit to include the remaining documents about Richard Case Nagell. Thank you.

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. First, the drones are back. More than a dozen were sighted swarming every night for almost a week over Louisiana’s Barksdale AFB, home of the Air Force Global Strike Command which hosts nuclear-equipped B-52 bombers. These drones appeared custom-built, too sophisticated for the base’s electronic defenses, and required advanced knowledge of signal operations, according to the Pentagon.

As well, at the McNair base southwest of D.C. where both Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio happen to reside, multiple sightings caused the Pentagon to suggest an anti-drone laser system might be employed to shoot the drones down.

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. Rep. Eric Burlison from Missouri told Fox News that a lot of videos are still classified because they’ve been “captured on technology we don’t want our adversaries to know we have the ability to capture.’' Indeed, the cameras themselves are classified. But Burlison said that doesn’t mean Congress shouldn’t see the footage, and he’s given “a list of two to three dozen files” to Intelligence chief Tulsi Gabbard. He also has people on the inside checking out whether any files have been moved, deleted or changed.

Rep. Tim Burchett of Tennessee, another strong advocate for disclosure, served up what appears to be an ominous message to Newsmax. “I’ve been briefed by just about every alphabet agency there is,” the Congressman said. “And I’ll just say this, if they were to release the things that I’ve seen, you’d be up at night, worrying about, thinking about this stuff.”

Burchett went on that he’d been briefed a couple of weeks ago on information that “would have set the Earth” on fire if the government revealed it. “This country would’ve come unglued, I think, if they [the public] would’ve heard all that I heard. They would demand answers.”

So on the one hand, Burchett is scaring everybody about the release of UFO/UAP files that President Trump has ordered. On the other hand, he seems to be saying that such releases should take place.

On WABC radio in New York, Burchett also addressed the disappearance on February 27 of retired General William Neil McCasland, for whom a massive search is ongoing. “He’s the guy that had a lot of nuclear secrets. I’ve been told by several sources that he was the gatekeeper for the UFO stuff,” Rep. Burchett said.

A few days ago, the Law & Crime Network - the leading platform for legal and true crime content - somehow obtained the audio of a 911 call made by McCasland’s wife, Susan Wilkerson, after he vanished from the vicinity of their Albuquerque home. Having discovered her husband’s phone and some other personal items inside, Wilkerson could be heard telling authorities; “My husband is missing. It’s been three hours, and I have some indication that he must have planned not to be found.”

She didn’t specify further, except to respond to a question by saying that the 68-year-old McCasland had recently been dealing with anxiety and short-term memory loss. She didn’t know at the time of the call that his .38-caliber pistol was, along with his boots, the only item he left with. Wilkerson later scoffed at rumors that his disappearance may have been related to the UAP/UFO secrets he carried.

However, the Sentinel Network, an independent publication self-described as “tracking institutional responses to anomalous events,” continues to break ground on investigating McCasland’s past. It’s already widely known that he was advocating for disclosure a decade ago. Now the Sentinel has connected some dots between the overlapping careers of the General and Dr. James T. Ryder of the Lockheed Martin aerospace corporation, who sought in 2010 a Technology Transfer Agreement involving UFO crash materials from the 1950s. The CIA had ended up blocking any such transfer. I won’t go into all the details, but you can read more at the link above.

Meantime, the search goes on.

Dick Russell’s Substack is a reader-supported publication.
