# PrivacyRule

Privacy **rules** together with [privacy keys](/api/privacy.md#privacy-keys) indicate *what* can or can't someone do and are specified by a [PrivacyRule](/type/PrivacyRule.md) constructor, and its input counterpart [InputPrivacyRule](/type/InputPrivacyRule.md).
